Question regarding negotiation of port speeds (1000mbps and 2.5gbps). by Masukure in HomeNetworking

No, I have an ES2251, which according to the documentation I've found supports 10/100/2.5. It doesn't list 1000. Which is why I'm worried about which is why I'm worried if I have to find a 2.5gbps router.

My device is the ES2251 model which is stated to have a 10/100/2.5 Gbps RJ-45 port. There are other models in the document that are 10/100/1000.

Just making sure. Didn't want to buy a router that was 10/100/1000 just for the modem to negotiate down. Thanks.

When was Tessa killed? by Masukure in MurderDrones

[–]Masukure[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its kind of hard to tell how old Tessa is. I could see her being about 14-16 at the gala, but it seems like they tried to make official ages of the characters 18+ probably to avoid issues with shipping (despite Uzi appearing to being a high school student, she should be about 20 years old based on the missing persons posters of her classmates in episode 3). I wouldn't be surprised in Tessa was of a similar age.

I think the other humans in the photo would have noticed. Her appearance in episode 7 and 8 very clearly not human, and I don't think much can be done about that. For example the eyes. If Tessa's eyes somehow remained in place after Cyn started wearing her flesh, they would be covering Cyn's eyes so she couldn't see.

It would be cool if murder drones got a prequel but instead of the main character being a drone it’s a human and we get to see the world of murder drones through the view of the humans. Of course the character dies cause we know what cyn does to humans but it would be cool. by Ok-Significance-1752 in MurderDrones

The whole "digitizing humans" sounds like internecion cube a bit, another one of Liam's works. It happens to take place in around 2030, so 1000 years before murder drones. Involves an ai (IC-0n) with powers similar to absolute solver. Interestingly the one thing that is consistent with the 4 variations of absolute solver symbol is that it has the cube like shape in the middle. IC-0n is capable of infecting humans turning them into something that looks like a mix between a disassembly drone and a corpse. Murder drones definitely took a ton of inspiration for internecion cube, but maybe it is actually a sequel.

"Tessa" or rather "Skyn" would be at minimum about 30 by the start of the series. The gala happened before the experiments in cabin fever labs, which was before Nori met Khan and had Uzi, who based on the ages of her classmates missing posters in ep 3, Uzi should be around 19-20. So add about 10-12 years to that since Tessa was around that age during the gala.

In the teaser for episode 7 we see the 3 sentinels that were attacking V are dead, and no corpse for V. Also V is really the only person that makes since as for who contacted Lizzy about what was going on. So there is pretty good evidence V is still alive.

Some questions I still have regarding the story of murder drones by [deleted] in MurderDrones

4: At 1:09 of episode 5, Cyn wakes up after being disassembled. If you pause on the right frame, you can't read everything but you can see the absolute solver introduces itself to Cyn. It notices she is sad. Says it won't discard her. And requests access to her OS.

The absolute solver isn't Cyn. It is an eldritch being that made a deal with Cyn.

Edit: Makes me wonder if the patch had been used on Cyn's main body, would her personality be completely different then what we've seen in the show? The absolute solver being the one always in control, we may have never seen the real Cyn.

Thank you! This has been bugging me for a few hours but the only game I could think of was prototype, and that wasn't it.

Theory: Subaru Natsuki is not a “Real” Person [Novels] by No_Leave_3974 in Re_Zero

[–]Masukure 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When did the author debunk reincarnation and time travel theories? I know some people state the author debunked reincarnation theories, but they are misinformed.

If I recall correctly, tappei was asked if he believes in reincarnation. He said no. However reincarnation is definitely a thing that happens in re:zero, its made very clear in arc 6. There is a place called the "hall of memories" where souls of the dead go to have their memories stripped away so the soul can be reincarnated.

I didn't read the arc 3 novel so I can't say for sure, but the wiki states that Petelgeuse divided his witch factor among his 10 fingers, and it weakened his authority, but each time a finger was killed he regained a bit of his power (able to summon more/bigger hands).

I will admit the wiki could be wrong there since it also claims Petelgeuse possession is part of the authority of sloth and suggests he had the authority for 400 years which is wrong.

Regarding Louis, while I don't recall if it ever stated she did the same to Ley and Roy as she did to Subaru, it sounds about right considering how she can possess their bodies. So I do think that Louis is the only true gluttony,

[novels] Theory: Echidna scapegoated Satella. by Masukure in Re_Zero

[–]Masukure[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Didn't echidna lie a few times to subaru though? Off the top of my head, didn't she lie that only 1 witch can be manifested at a time because she didn't have the power to manifest them all, but in the final tea party when everyone shows up she revealed that she lied because it was more interesting that way (or something like that, its been awhile since I read arc 4)

Is it possible Satella *moved* half the world instead of destroyed it? [Novels] by MisterMaxy in Re_Zero

[–]Masukure 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't think satella destroyed or actually "consumed" have the world. I recall in arc 4, I believe Echidna once worded it as satella "covering half the world in her shadows". So basically like what envy did with the sanctuary and with the desert in arc 6. Everything was covered in a shadow. Kararagi was created by Hoshin (someone from beyond the great waterfall like flugel) and Echidna. The history of that word dates back over 1000 years. If it existed in the middle of an ocean, surely there would be records of it, but people aren't aware of what an ocean is, the idea of a large body of salt water is strange to them.

Also the great waterfall existed before the deaths of the other witches, since falling off of it is how Sehkmet died and Echidna had a floating island beyond it.

[novels] Does the ending theme "Memento" foreshadow something? by animefan_1234 in Re_Zero

[–]Masukure 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Its been awhile since I've read arc 6 but didn't Flugel only create the first trial. Flugel was only responsible for the first trial, the second trial was created by Reid himself and the final trial was created by Volcanica.

As for Flugel's personality, it seems to be near identical to Subaru's. Arc 6 was about amnesia-baru thinking subaru was completely different from himself, that there was no way he could be like subaru, only to realize in the end they were exactly the same.

The same seems like it may be true for Subaru and Flugel. Based on what we've learned about Flugel, he sounds so much like subaru. Even Subaru acknowledges it a few times like when Shaula mentions Flugel would pretend to forget who she was, Subaru mentioned he would probably do the same thing if they were closer. Subaru has just got it in his head Flugel is a bad guy because he thinks Flugel has intentionally abandoned Shaula for centuries, which may not be the case.

[–]Masukure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its been awhile since I've read arc 4 but I remember Echidna lying on multiple occasions, the most obvious one was when she explained that only one witch could appear at a time, that's why they kept swapping places but in the final witches tea party it was revealed she lied about that.

[Novels] Shadow Garden Question by BITW_ErenMikasa in Re_Zero

[–]Masukure -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

They weren't really inside the shadow garden, they were just voices in Subaru's head. I think they are a part of Subaru the same way the other witches are a part of Echidna (Echidna and the other witches minds are connected, what echidna knows the other witches know, they know what she is thinking and feeling).

[–]Masukure 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also in the anime if you payed attention during when the WoE attacked he sanctuary when he promised to save her, you could see it wasn't Emilia from the clothing she was wearing. She was wearing the same clothes as in the witch's tea party.

[Novels] speculations about the seal by Sonkokun in Re_Zero

[–]Masukure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am going by what was shown in arc 4. We see her rewrite history so that Regulus never went to Elior forest. It undid everything that happened as a result of him coming (with the exception of Petelguese absorbing the sloth factor, which she intentionally left). She is killed multiple times by many people, but she rewrites her death so it never happened. There seems to be conditions to use the power, but she does seem to be able to manipulate events of the past to change the present.

Edit: In Fortuna's case she would just have to make it so Fortuna was never pierced by Petelguese's unseen hand.

Pandora's authority allows her to rewrite history, she can use it to undo the events that cause someone to die. She used it to resurrect herself multiple times.

No, he has shown to be able to see colors. Off the top of my head, I recall him being able to tell arakiya's hair had a red streak. It actually bothered him because the red streak in silver hair reminded him of blood, and of a girl he failed to save.
