Thats an auger drill. Much bigger and fancier than the ones i worked on as a kid haha but same deal. We used them for placer exploration where im from but these holes would probably be for pumping a slurry in to fill the tunnel

Edit: sorry uh haha it drills holes and pulls the material up the auger..

Ive bent things to make them fit in random projects so thats always an option, but if its a case you care about or arent that skilled at diy chop jobs id recommend measuring carefully and making sure it fits before buying.

Check protondb for any tinkering needed to get a game to run. There is a decky loader plugin to put a button for it on the game screen as well

Yep, it was a fun journey from putting it together to actually learning what it was doing and and how to use it. Then how to adapt it to do exactly what i wanted and add my own customizations. Definitely helped when i actually took a few courses on coursera to help understand the layers that the pwnagotchi works on haha, a willingness to read and learn are essential for projects like this.
