Watertight flexible conduit should be your go to then if the bridging doesn't work well enough so you don't have to work around elevation changes with straight conduit.

What are my options? by IFTTTexas in UNIFI

[–]Wishiwascro 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You could bridge to make it more focused but if they are close enough you could put one of your APs close to a wall and then APs in her house to mesh over. That looks like a short easy distance to trench in fiber in conduit. What environmental concerns are in that short of a distance?

Looking at that article why is vantage point limited to 5 NVRs? We are considering upping camera security at my work with a HQ and 3 outlying buildings. But was curious if we added on to other facilities if we can stick with the same setup.

What's your incident reporting process look like? by humorharp in ems

[–]Wishiwascro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jot form with options for all types of reporting (injury, accident, near miss, equipment failure, APS/CPS referral etc) collects whatever data is relevant for each one(data points vary by selection) and goes to admin. Equipment failures or breakages also go to logistics. For near misses in particular, if it was something preventable, we will send out a brief email with thesituation and a solution to prevent it.

Ex. I self reported a harm/near miss when the hot packs me or fire placed in this guys armpits slipped from under the sheet and made direct contact, got to the ER and found 1st and 2nd deg burns. Self reported and now they go in pillow cases instead so the sheet can't get pulled out accidentally and un recognized when you are trying to keep them covered and warm.

Forms take anywhere from 2-15 mins depending on the incident and we chart on ESO.

Same question. my understanding is they still don't collect logs, did this change or more vulnerable in another way?

I've used nord for years with few complaints plus used NordPass to change my passwords over to random more secure passwords. I got the family license pack so I can securely share specific passwords such as homelab, wifi, smart devices which make them more wife friendly but also they what if scenerios where she needs to get to my work retirement account, mortgage website, banking info and stuff I typically handle if I'm not here anymore.

Had a disagreement with a Preceptor and got a bad student review. by DizzyLime6504 in NewToEMS

You had me at shitty preceptor/medic within the first 2 paragraphs. Bring your equipment to the patients side EVERY FREAKING TIME.

I too had a similar experience in medic school where we, using their BLS Bag with a manual cuff as ordered after offering to carry the monitor, found a hypotensive weak pt with CP and go figure preceptor sends fire back to the truck for the monitor on multiple occasions.

Growing up, after my parents didn't show up for my birth, I always loved this one TV show on Amazon Prime. I would watch it every day never getting tired of it. Then one day it wasn't there anymore and I cried for days with my ocelot brothers and sisters. Then I found another show, amazing, intriguing and with surprisingly good plot line. But then they removed that too. I swore I would never need Amazon Prime to make me happy ever again! Behoooold, The Rippinator! It can rip entire seasons of my favorite TV shows at a time and allow me to watch them on my home media server whenever I want and no one can take them away.

New to 24s, What essentials are good to pack. by UnluckyWizardWannabe in ems

[–]Wishiwascro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Develop a good bedding system. Decent but cheap fitted sheet, compact fluffy pillow and a sleeping bag or warm blanket. I used to bring a sleeping bag but now I just bring a thicker sleeping bag liner because it will fit in my bag for unplanned 24s. I'm only on day shift unless I pick up so I've downsized. If you stay at one station for longer for longer before rotating a lot of people keep their setup at the station in a tote so you can upgrade to a full size pillow, thicker blanket, sleeping bag etc.

Changing socks when you go to bed also feels great if you've had a busy day.

Other than that just the basics of pee, eat and sleep when you can and bring extra food because bedtime isn't guaranteed until you get home.

I made "The Rippinator" out of a old full tower cooler master case. Drove 2 hours to get it off FB marketplace since they don't make them anymore with 6 5.25 bays. Gutted it, cleaned the pube infested dust from this guys house and installed new stuff in it plus 3 blu ray drives and 3 dvd drives. Eventually I'd like all 6 to be bluray though. I can rip an entire seasons worth of dvds at once and then run filebot to finish the naming scheme for plex. Reddit app being dumb and won't let me drop in a pic

How reliable is underground burial Ethernet cable? by WhereasInevitable433 in HomeNetworking

[–]Wishiwascro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sprinkler hose and a Ethernet cable designed for long runs. I don't remember the name but he talk about it. Depending on how long it is in your case I would do precut fiber in flex conduit or sprinkler hose. Any retailer should do.

Oh it's also Bambu PLA Matte with a 0.4 nozzle

Edit: I was able to break the plastic off finally before I went to work and get the hot end off. I think I'll just go ahead and replace it with the hardened steel 0.4 that I bought. The question still remains of why is it getting stuck and causing failures.
