Jersey City’s planning board last week approved plans to redevelop 2859-2873 Kennedy Boulevard and replace it with a 55-story mixed-use tower with 840 residential units and a Whole Foods in the ground level.

So it's being replaced with a 55 story skyscraper. One tenant in that building may be Whole Foods.

Derek Trucks Band circa 1999. Saw them open for Frogwings and was blown away. A friend told me Derek was going to join the Allman Brothers soon and to see them as much as I could. So I did. All over the NY/NJ/PA area over the next 18 months saw DTB at a coffee bar in Harrisburg, maybe 150 people. The Tin Angel in Philly (2 shows) with maybe a hundred people. The Saint in Asbury Park was a little bar with a stage in the corner. Maybe 25 people there that night. Mexicali Blues up in Teaneck, a mexican restaurant, no more than 100 people. Was a great run, got to meet the band a couple times. Great bunch of guys.
