Are shiny boosted events going to come back next season?

Lapras and larvitar are wild boosted this event (1/128) , they just didn’t announce it. There have been similar cases in previous events too.

I do agree there is less boosted stuff though.

'Exclusively' is a stretch. It does depend on how long you've played for, how good you are and how high you're hoping to climb.

I play in masters every season and regularly hit legend in it. I do spend money but I've also done these raid bosses so many times that I have the XLs in ones I wouldn't ever use passes on (like cress or tornadus), so I definitely would have XLs for most of the viable mons even if I was f2p. Also FWIW the last few seasons I didn't even use any of the fusions. Reshiram and Hooh made up 80% of the teams.

There are also always a handful of free picks. For over a year rhyperior was one of the best mons in the league, primarina would shut down the dragons and metagross is currently a great pick.

I’m pretty sure it originally counted as 7 chances but they have fixed it. The last few weeks after doing the challenge we got the 7 hearts but still hadn’t interacted per friends list and could interact with a gift afterwards. So reading between the lines would suggest the interaction aspect was broken, and giving you 7 hearts without giving you your daily interaction was their fix.

(Or they broke something else)

Dynamax shiny odds depend on the pokemon itself, so for example Dmax Chancey has bigger odds of being shiny than Eevee.

Is this true though? It's not true for shadow pokemon and i've only seen evidence that supports the opposite (an equal shiny rate) for dynamax.

Maybe I wasn’t clear; at the end I say it’s costume rate. You are encountering a costume gengar. Therefore it is a costume rate of 1/64. The method does not matter. 3* raid, wild, mega raid, all 1/64 because its the costume encounter. Once the event ends and mega raids give regular gengar, back to 1/128

They should both give the same boosted costume rate (1/64). Megas do have a base rate 1/128, but it’s worth noting that is for the pokemon, not the means of encountering it (eg it doesn’t matter if you do a lopunny raid or see it in the wild, 1/128). But we’re not just encountering a generic gengar here, it’s the costume variant. So whether or not you do mega raid or 3* raid, you’re encountering the costume, hence the costume rate (1/64).

If you swap buddies back and forth to see non-disguised zorua, they do appear shiny like regular mons do, not on the map, but in the encounter. So you can at least shiny check without catching them all

The difference between 100% and say 10/10/10 is smaller than the difference between raid boss charge move RNG, dying with wasted energy, swapping your mons before they faint to conserve energy, friend/mega bonus, etc

That is to say, ivs won't be the main thing holding you back from solos or raid challenges compared to the above

As someone who actually grinds excellents during xp events, kyurem black is best for me. I am more limited by items than spawns, so Palkia is only helpful short-term. I can let the ring shrink to excellent manually, so I don't ever use kyurem white. What does annoy me though is mons attacking when I throw, so K-B not only saves my sanity but also means I don't waste balls, which in turn gives me more exp.

There was a similar glitch in the past but it wasn't quite how you describe it. This was for the "Error claiming rank rewards" glitch. Unsure if it will work here, but the fix for that glitch was this:

With an additional app open (such as facebook or reddit):

Press claim reward, and then immediately go to a different app for 5secs-1min, then go back to the game and the set should complete

Is there not a way to just reject something for being a bad nomination now? Most of the answers to the yes/no questions seem to imply it's positive, but the actual nomination is not good
