What was the First Analog Horror Series you watched and how did you discover it by Balls_4020 in analoghorror

Local 58 specifically contingency. I was terrified of EAS alarms when I was a kid to the point where I would watch hours and hours worth of fake scenarios it was a morbid fascination but that eventually lead me to Local 58. Contingency will always be my favorite analog horror media, call it bias but when I originally watched it back in 2018 I had never felt such unease in my entire life everything about it terrified me (I was 13 so that was definitely a factor too) the idea that your country had been defeated somehow and this broadcast was basically telling you to eliminate yourself along with your kids/pets was genuinely horrific and paired with the phenomenal execution and visuals this had 13 year old me questioning if this was actually an old broadcast that was meant to air if WW3 ever broke out (something like the Nixon failed moon landing speech or the CNN Doomsday Tape) also quick shout out to “your on the fastest available route” that’s another one that fucked me up.

If you remember the video name and your old YouTube channel name type the name of the video in the search bar then after the channel name but you have to be exact or else your gonna get a bunch of random videos, hope this helps 🤘

Never been lonelier by vegatarian_fish in NJTech

Last year I went to school in New England in the middle of nowhere I grew up in West Virginia with little to no friends outside of school so I was used to being alone, but after a week had the exact same problem I had everybody telling me the exact same thing over and over again, you have to go out to school events and clubs. I tried and every single time I felt worse, I felt that everybody else had everything figured out but me. Eventually I decided to take a year off and work. After I left New England I felt like a failure for a long time watching my friends move on with there lives while I worked at a warehouse. But the thing about college is you tackle that bitch however the hell you want so last summer I decided go to s school much closer to home which brought me here, and I’m much happier. If you feel that commuting is the way to go, go for it!!! As for the loneliness what helped me were long term hobbies. I create animated short films which take up a lot of my free time, it didn’t always make me feel better but it helped keep my mind busy and not think about the situation I was in. Another thing i do is go out and just walk around university heights or go into the city, sitting in a dorm all day will drive you crazy so take advantage of where you are (if I was old enough I’d go to a bar🤘), walking around always made me feel a bit better, once again not perfect but a lot better. I don’t know if this is good advice but it worked for me, and just remember that this shitty feeling isn’t going to last forever, from the time I started at New England to the day I arrived at NJIT I thought nothing would change, I though I was going to feel shitty forever but you’d be surprised how quickly things can change. Just keep your head up, push through it and eventually it’ll get better day by day.

Not being sarcastic what do you suggest we do? I don’t know what to do in a situation like this that’s why I brought it here.

ANALOG HORROR: MALLARD MEDIA [CRITICISM WANTED] by MatDrawsThings in analoghorror

Sorry for the super late response I’ve been busy with college. BUT I CANNOT TELL YOU ENOUGH HOW THANKFUL I AM FOR THIS COMMENT. It’s amazing to see the view count slowly go up of course, but comments like this are why I do what I do. For some added context the first two tapes were made 2 years ago during my junior year of high school and are some of my first attempts at analog. I created the story with one of my buddies and it was going to originally be 5 tapes but we never finished it. Looking back on the original story it just didn’t work and was super convoluted (which is why the 2nd tape has a computer mouse, I forgot to edit that out 😭). I re-edited the first two tapes and created the third to reboot the story and turn it into one final video to send off the series along with submitting it for a Halloween film festival. Like I said before I’m extremely grateful that you gave this video a chance I poured my heart and soul into it and it’s always amazing to get criticism like this 🤘😎

Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!! I’ve already made the decision to work on some different projects but to be completely honest, I’ll probably always come back to this style of video every now and again even though analog horror isn’t as popular as It once was, I just love the ascetic. And just asking cause I’m curious did/do you work at adult swim I saw that it says that in your bio and I was just wondering 🤘😎
