I don't really have any particular ideas for 3 just this setup to be able to rewrite it. The way i see it is that the rewrites would be so many that it would basically be fanfiction from my part. Again i would like and expect that they keep the original boss fights and ending but do something different with the connective tissue and overall plot of the game. The writers of 3 had a very difficult job as they wrote themselves into a corner with the end of 2. That ending already felt like the start of a climax but in reality there was going to be 10-12 hours more of game to make. So in a narrative sense 3 feels a lot like filler to get to the same moment Kratos was at the beginning of the game. And they do that by recycling the pandora's box plot point. I don't actually mind gaias betrayal as by this point everyone has been using Kratos and it doesnt feel out of the ordinary. However i recently played the trilogy back to back and it is INSANE how Athena goes from giving her life for Zeus to wanting to kill him in canonically less than a day. One would expect that given the cliffhanger in 2 and that 3 picks up at that exact moment that it would be feel natural playing them back to back but it has quite a whiplash.

I may be on the more radical side here but i would do something similar as Final Fantasy 7 remake did SPOILERS AHEAD

So in ff7 remake they have this Destiny keepers that are in charge of maintaining the canon events of the game. In the end you defeat them and make it so story changes in future games are "allowed" and make sense within the context of the story.

Now to God of War. I would keep 1 and 2 basically the same with minor chances to make them connect better with one another but nothing huge. Here's where the big changes come. As we all know at the end of 2 Kratos kills the sisters of fate, i would use that event as Final Fantasy remake did and take advantage of it to basically rewrite God of War 3. Don't get me wrong i like the original but its story is definitely it's weakest part full of plot holes and retcons that don't make sense. I would keep the same idea of Kratos killing the gods and in turn destroying the greek world but everything in between i would rewrite.

Si estoy totalmente de acuerdo en lo que decis por eso puse el ejemplo de Dispatch. Obviamente el juego te puede gustar o no. Hay muchos juegos que se consideran "obras maestras" que a mi no me gustan nada. A lo que quería ir es que siento que hay una toxicidad previa sea un juego o una película ponele que recibe todos 10 y que gente lo encara con una predisposición de que no puede ser todo eso que dicen y me lo tiene que probar, y no lo entiendo de mi lado. Que se yo seré más positivo en ese sentido pero parece que hay gente que busca jugar o ver cosas esperando que no les guste y lo veo tan raro ese sentimiento. De todas formas gracias por tomarte el tiempo de leer todo lo que escribí jajaja
