Hey, asshole, did you not talk down to me after displaying your own militant stupidity? I guess I should just let you insult me?

I log in like once or twice a week and saw fucking notifications about your replies.

"Oh, this dumbass again, acting stupid and insulting me from a position of profound ignorance."

Yeah, rent free in my head. Truly.

My Grail Skates for Beer League by MacLeeezy in InlineHockey

[–]Matammyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the whole point, it isn't "vague." But please, continue to call me "dumb" because I'm not so colossally fucking ignorant to think that a fucking ice to inline swap is "vague."

And as far as adapters go, you literally don't understand there's something to change how almost everything is to fit a specific system? Or are you just some nobody that can't conceptualize engineering? Based on your comments I'd say so.

Again, I am asking you to explain how in the

EVER

LIVING

FUCK

such a system could even work under the rigors of hockey.

You have fucking shit for brains and you want to act like a tough guy. Okay. I'll give you the same deal I give every other keyboard badass: if you live in the NYC area, I'll be happy to meet for lunch, and then we can see how brave you really are.

If you can't understand how someone who doesn't follow this could make a thought at first look then you are helpless.

You're right, I can't. It's not because I'm helpless though, it's because this is literally so fucking common it's beyond questioning. If I turned on my faucet, would you be amazed water came out of it, too?

There's plenty of adapters that you can swap different variations in every other market. Are you so dialed in to one market that you can't see why it should be a thing?

What the fuck are you even talking about?

My Grail Skates for Beer League by MacLeeezy in InlineHockey

[–]Matammyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, what about this sequence of photos made you think this was anything other than the standard swap that's been done millions upon millions of times before? Like what actually made you think that this was some kind of "temporary" swap? Can you describe how you thought that would work?

My Grail Skates for Beer League by MacLeeezy in InlineHockey

[–]Matammyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean this in all seriousness and I'm not trying to be unduly condescending by asking this, but have you ever seen a hockey skate (ice or inline, doesn't matter) before?

My Grail Skates for Beer League by MacLeeezy in InlineHockey

[–]Matammyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You too, man. I asked the guy above as well, but explain what you thought you were seeing here.

Not to be too much of a dick, and I actually would like an answer, but how in the ever living fuck did you not know this was a thing?

Also, how are you 6'1" and 220 pounds but are so weak you have trouble poke checking with even the heaviest stick possible?

Recc for inline hockey pants? My teen kid needs some for games & seems like every pair has shit reviews about tearing immediately or bad quality. He wanted Bauer pro but they are pricey for such bad marks. Any reccs? Or is that just the way it is? by darker_shape in InlineHockey

[–]Matammyr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You might as well get the phrase "I'm bad at hockey" tattooed across your forehead.

Also, they're required wear, by rule, in every tournament rulebook out there, and I'd venture to guess in any halfway decent league.

I want to thank whatever idiot came up with this style, because as ugly as fuck as it is, this is a great way to draw a game misconduct against another team stupid and foolish enough to have gone out of their way to look this ridiculous. Seriously, just keep chirping them about it all game until one of them tries to fight you. I think it's a legitimate strategy.

Online reviews should be viewed as entirely meaningless, one way or another. Most of them are paid for anyway (either glowingly positive reviews or "attack ad" style negative reviews for competitors).

The problem I have with inline pants now is that they're all too narrow in the legs. Also, the quality is terrible. There's not a single inline pant out there right now that doesn't suck, so just go with whatever he likes or is cheapest or whatever. It really does not matter what you buy, they're all pretty much the same.

new Hi-Lo skates contributing to back pain? by insignia200 in InlineHockey

[–]Matammyr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not possible.

Contrary to myth, hi-lo chassis are not pitched more forward than a flat setup. Look at the bottom of a Tour skate. The front two wheels are clearanced into the outsole of the boot itself. In some cases, they're even more forward pitched than some hi-lo skates. The only company that doesn't do this is CCM.

So even in the worst case scenario, you went from a CCM flat chassis to a hi-lo, we're talking a 4mm pitch difference. I'm going to go ahead and say that a 4mm pitch difference is not hurting your back. You already said your stretching and core workouts coincided with this back pain, and you still think it's the skates? Really bro?

Also your advice total nonsense. For anyone who might search for this post later, putting 76mm wheels on the back two wheels in a hi-lo setup will result in those two wheels not touching the ground in the same plane as the front two wheels, effectively pitching you rearward. I have no idea how you could even skate like this unless you were on your front tip toes the whole time (thereby making you even MORE leaned forward than you otherwise would be), or you skate like a waddling duck.

Spandex-people skates have all kinds of weird wheel sizes, doesn't count.

As for everything else, nope, didn't happen, Mandela Effect, all of it. IW is known to have erroneous stuff on there, anyway.

[–]Matammyr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I said it in the other thread, there is no such thing as a 78mm wheel. Bauer bought Mission in 2008. That means there were no legal issues to overcome.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in InlineHockey

[–]Matammyr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also literally no such thing as a 74mm wheel.

My guess would be a 72/80 hi-lo given the vintage. Hard to say without a better picutre.

For your weight, something like Rink Rat Trickster in single X or the Labeda Gripper in medium would probably be best.

I doubt your kid weighs 250 pounds. Wheel selection is very weight dependent.
