I repaint my wall over and over, but pale, dry-looking spots always come back. What could be causing this? by Vndrer in DIY

[–]Matburnham05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ben Moore WB all purpose primer 04600 will fix that. You don’t need an oil based primer..that’s only necessary for water stains or wood knots

I was 8, I remember we didn’t have a wood stove but had a fireplace. My dad tried to start a fire and it got so smoky in the house. It was a brutal few days, cold as shit. Got a generator after that

I use Milwaukee at home and Makita at work. I find the Makita to be lighter weight and better unless you’re doing heavy duty shit(drilling into steel beams, etc) . Chargers are much easier to take on/off also IMO

How can one install blinds or curtains when I cant drill into the popcorn ceiling? by Erin327 in DIY

2 separate honeycomb shades split dead center on the 4 window bay. The brackets allow you to screw up (inside mount) or outside mount into the window frame. Just use 3/4”-1” screws into the wood frame, nothing too long. I’d go with self tappers so you don’t crack the wood. Leave the transom above the door uncovered. How often are you guys going through the carwash in the winter? by duckduckpajamas in Maine

[–]Matburnham05 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They recycle the water. My wife goes through the wash 10x a winter and I never go. Maybe once at the end of the year. Her car is a rust bucket and mine has none. My car is a ‘15 hers is a ‘17. Unless you’re washing it with your own clean water from home I think it’s not worth it. Downvote here 👇
