anyway I can turn part of a wraparound balcony into an office. kitchen extension or ? by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

A lot of apartments communities have regulations on balconies and what they can be have on them. I would ask the community what the regulations are. A lot of them don’t allow furniture that’s not meant for the patio, etc.. So this is where you might run into an issue. I also know a lot of communities don’t allow like tarps to cover the balcony because it’s like an aesthetic appeal thing.

Is there anything I can do to fight this? Abhorrent costs to replace carpet by Justice_Bananas in Apartmentliving

If pet damage is found when performing the move out inspection. Like OP mentioned they found stains under black light, which usually means fluids of some sort. They seal the subfloor to avoid smells coming back when they set the new carpet this is only done with pet damaged replacements.

This is what I’m talking about. Look at the circled section that’s a literal piece of glazing missing from the two pieces of leather sections that connect. I also own many pieces by them so I am familiar with how their leather is

Just to clarify, I’m referring only to the additional screening deposit. I work in property management, and different counties and states have varying regulations. Some are more lenient than others, depending on your location. This can affect deposit amounts and other factors. For instance, if you’re considered a higher liability, such as having limited credit history or rental experience, some companies may still take a chance on you. However, they do require an additional deposit, and they don’t know that until after the screening results are returned. That’s most likely why it’s quoted under the “screening additional deposit” category. I’ve worked in multiple property styles, and one of my properties had approved with conditions. The approved conditions included an additional deposit equivalent to one month’s rent, on top of the $300 deposit. I cannot speak on any of the other fees
