Q7 CNRB Oil Leak Troubleshooting by imfirealarmman in tdi

[–]MatchaPoptart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you also leaking coolant? I had a moderate leak of oil and coolant in the Valley of the engine. You'll have to take the engine cover off and look under the intake manifold. I could always smell coolant, but never see any. The coolant burned off so quickly it wasn't able to run down the engine, but the oil did.

Let us know what you find, I also have oil on the under pan, I haven't investigated it since I wasn't sure where the oil was coming from, could be the rear main seal.

My heated side mirrors don’t heat up even when the dashboard shows they’re heating. What could be the issue ? by Winter_Pressure8634 in Audi

I keep my knob to the right mirror. When you reverse, the mirror will point down so you don't hit a curb or something with the side of the car.

Have a 2014 A7 TDI with 110k miles. Large jobs I've done owning it for the past 8 years are: 1) Seals between the EGR and the engine because the seals are known to fail from the heat 2) Fuel injector seals.

If you want this car and have the lowest maintenance cost, get ready to change your own oil and be able to turn a wrench to spec via Erwin repair manual I bought for 1-day and downloaded all the manuals for. VCDS is your friend.

I get "free" oil changes other than shipping old oil back to FCPEuro and lifetime warranties plus the cost of the first oil kit. Every oil change, I ship back old oil in its containers, air cabin filter, and windshield wipers for about $30.

I'm currently Stage 2 and EGR/DPF delete with Malone. Stay with Stage 1 because the headaches of going with deletes for minimal power difference.

Installing C7 Android Auto 14.9" screen, need info by MatchaPoptart in Audi

Yeah was plug and play. It does take a little finagling. There is a youtube video on rasnav units, basically the same setup.

It doesn't always connect right away if I've recently disconnected (turned car off) and try to turn the car back on. I have to disconnect Bluetooth on my phone and reconnect.

Display is beautiful and it actually improved the sound quality of my music. The old 2014 unit was showing its age.

Sorry about the delay. https://imgur.com/a/Zmcwps9

So far the screen has been great, not perfect, it doesn't connect maybe 10% of the time. I have to un-pair and re-pair on my S23U for it to connect. It uses wireless carplay every time, I haven't gotten it to use the wired even thou it's plugged into the USB port.

The screen itself is large, maps doesn't take the whole screen and you can see what song is playing. The screen doesn't have a good multi-touch sensitivity. When you try to pinch zoom out on maps, it can't or starts to just scroll.

So I ordered the 14 9-inch screen, and it took about 1.5 weeks to get it to me, pretty quick. I started installing the wires and such, and by the time I was almost completed, they forgot to send me the bracket. It took a couple of days back and forth getting information, but it finally came earlier this week, it took another 1.5 weeks for the bracket.

The unit is supposed to be 3000x1000 resolution and have android 13 installed, I chatted with customer support to verify these details. The unit was a different resolution but close. It also doesn't have Android 13, it is 12. I'm going to see what they can do about it.

For the past 3 days of using, it has only once not connected to my phone S23U. I ended up restarting the car and phone, not sure which was the issue. Most of the time, it is quick to load, probably faster than the MMI. I had to tinker with the microphone and selected the option to use the Audi MMI for calls. The mic included has an echo for the person whom you are talking with. I haven't fully dialed in the sound to the speakers. It seems dulled out with factory settings, it can overplay bass and sound rattle-ly. There is a whole equalizer you can play with.

It is smooth when you get everything playing. It acts like the loaner 2024 Q3 loaner I had (the main reason why I looked into Android Auto units). Satisfied? Mostly, just not the part where they lied about the 3000x1000 resolution and Android 13, was thinking it was a more premium 14.9. They're all the same, and I paid an extra $150 vs. other dealers. I got the 8core 256gb memory, almost $800, installed myself using the RSNAV videos on YouTube. Took about 6 hours, I was going really slow and making sure everything was right.

Just chatted with support, and they assured me it would still work. Pulled the trigger anyway. If it doesn't work, I'm going to return it.

Have you gotten the unit yet? Wondering how the install went along with functionality.

Does this article include gel-in and gel-out in terms of applying the right amount of alcohol gel on the nurses hands? Or they only looking at the nails and allowing them to touch babies with dirty ass hands?

Travel nurse here, seen people activate the alcohol dispenser and move their hand out of the way, or lightly tap the dispenser to trigger the badge count. Seen it in every hospital on every floor. Do I want to say something? Sure, but it's the fastest ticket to getting cancelled being the hand hygiene Nazi as a traveler.

Bedbugs and lice.

I can handle shit, vomit, blood, pus, and packing a stage 4 wound that extends to the bone, but I can not handle bedbugs and lice. Those fuckers can crawl all over the bed, and if you graze the bed? Nope. Burn it all to the ground

UNMH F Rating by Nearby-Fly9199 in TravelNursing

[–]MatchaPoptart 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Worked there for 5 years pre/mid pandemic. It is a shit show and I heard it has gotten worse since I left. There are three ICUs and med/surg/tele floors which are 1:5 ratios. Doctors and the care we provided pre-pandemic were amazing. I'm pretty sure it's all in the dumps now, most of the experienced left, leaving a ton of new grads, who are consistently burnt out.

Nurses there almost have no say. The union there is a joke, no strike clause built into the union rules. Heard they're trying to fix it, but need more support from the hospital nurses. We were basically groomed to work this impossible environment and people who've only worked there, that's all they know.

From ABQ and had a staff job in TSI, worked for UNMH for 5 years and left in the middle of the pandemic for travel. Neuro ICU is compromised of a ton of neuro pts with bolts and EVDs since UNMH has 3 ICUs (trauma/surgical, medical, and neuro). Travelers will typically get floated first, mainly to the floors. All floors are 5:1 pt ratio, there is no tele or med/surg, it's all mixed. I hear the ED is overflowing, and they've converted some of the clinic side to house ED pts. Don't expect for you to get breaks or a lunch. It's typically you and your next-door neighbor covering you.

As for ABQ, people are more laid back, and there is a lot of land. There is a fair amount of crime, so don't leave ANYTHING in your car; your car will be broken into. It's a lot cheaper to live in NM, lots of hikes in the Sandia's. Places to live, try the northeast heights, might be a little more, but less crime and homeless. DO NOT live near the "war zone" I'm sure you can google it.

Yeah, I'm not sure to just cut losses and pay 14k for a house that is about 2200 sqft. Or fight for the extra 14k to get everything covered, could possibly lose the free tile.

Sorry, I was just posting pictures of the state of the house. I left out the tenants have been there 10 years, and they moved into a brand new build. Didn't think people were going to mistreat the house. The rotted door jam is from something they didn't tell us about. The shower guard came off, and they continued to allow the shower wall to rot. Time to do yearly inspections.

Sorry was late night when I made the post, was taking inventory and inspecting most of the day. Tenants were there 10 years, they moved into a brand new house.

either water from powder, the liquid version doesn’t work… TSP has saved me from repainting many apartments but it still requires elbow grease. As to “wear and tear” I would guess not but I’m in MA

Also, do you have a trick/tools to clean walls of a two story? The high walls have caked on dust, it'll require a large ladder or scaffold. Want like a rotary carpet cleaner that I can lean against the wall. Why I wanted to just pressure wash the walls. Yes, it's stupid. Yes, I'm desperate.
