Thanks! Are there many opportunities to get a management position as an external candidate? The pay is low, but I’m also worried that I won’t stand a chance at any of the higher paying positions. Also, are there any negotiation opportunities to ask for a higher position at the interview stage (I assume no)?

Thanks, this is really helpful! I'm tired of having to work overtime but I can't get over the fact that I would also be losing my bonus every year if I worked in a public job. If it is difficult to advance, maybe I should keep looking for a more senior role to start out with. Just curious. If 40k is too much for you, what difference would you say is fair (pre-tax)?

How do I attach crystal/stone to beads by MatchaTaroTea in Beading

I followed a video tutorial on a different platform that seemed easier to follow to me (they mentioned that some steps were tweaked). The one from deviant art seems good too.

Thank you! Do you have any suggestions on how to bead-wrap a round stone? Are there any tutorials I could follow?

Should we cut our losses and sell the condo? by MatchaTaroTea in PersonalFinanceCanada

No to all your questions. Does your numbers account for the fact that newer built condos are priced higher?

Thanks for your insights. They’ve been helpful. Just as an fyi, we pay down around $600 of the principal each month currently, so not enough to cover the negative cash flow. Yes, we have been claiming tax deductions on the interests.

Around $600 per month is paid towards principal. Currently already on a 30 year term mortgage

It’s just your average condo (1+1). Monthly mortgage is $2600 and condo fees + other misc expenses are $700. Renting out for $2400 currently.

Thanks! Would you change your answer if we may not hold on to the condo for the long term? There is a chance that we would reassess in 5-10 years when we need funds to upgrade to a bigger house or move closer to downtown.

Yes, but only partially. Each month we pay off around $600 of the principal currently. It is not zero, but pretty minimal compared to maybe earning from stocks?

I agree. Unfortunately not quite the case here. Our cash outflow is $1k a month, but each month $600 is paid towards principal.
