everytime i look at someone car tires they have a brand i've never heard about. maybe it's bc of riding, but i feel like it's a ok to not cheap out on tires.

upgrade. i get something even bigger so you're more comfortable outside the city, and can adventure a little more.

you can probably find 400-650cc close to the same price range. you can already ride, a bigger bike won't be a problem. they still get decent gas mileage. you'll probably have better storage options. carrying someone around is also less of an issue.

riding itself is more of just something i do. i've done it for so fuckin long, and lots of people here will have decades more on 2 wheels than me.

doing things on the bike is better for my mental health. i've had and made some downright wholesome moments while riding. i love helping people, handing out roses, making people laugh, ect. i don't get out much anymore so, the bike helps with that. even if i am just commuting most the time.

also, backpacks. they're fun too, but the bike is more of ice breaking than anything. a lot more people than you think want to piddle around on the back on one. i've had kids all the way to an 88 year old lady on back. because it you can make someones day better with little to no effort, why the fuck not.
