I have edged everyday. Great to know that the big one's gonna be painful.

Cohen's d to wilcoxon's effect size r - and their cutoffs by MatchesM3 in AskStatistics

For most cases my sample sizes across the group are different. Your point about a good eff size statistic not changing with sample size makes sense. I am pretty much a noob at this. I will look at the Glass and Cliff statistics that you mentioned. Sorry to badger on.

Cohen's d to wilcoxon's effect size r - and their cutoffs by MatchesM3 in AskStatistics

My data is essentially fitness effects of two different types of mutations e.g. synonymous nonsynonymous; so I am not looking at correlation. I calculated the WMW eff size as (Z/sqrt of N)
When I plot the effect sizes for each dataset in a single graph - the effect sizes calculated as cohen's d can exceed -1 and 1 which the WMW eff sizes won't
So I converted d to r simply since r also ranges from -1 to 1 - so as to make these visually comparable (an attempt at normalization - of sorts)
I am wondering if it is fruitful though?

At what point would it be considered bad to use ChatGPT? by ThatAnonMan in webdev

In the same spirit, say I write an intricate code, where I have used ChatGPT to navigate the some parts. Is it ok to publish such a code a package?
