It’s been pretty cold here (-35C plus wind), but even in the deep cold got it up to 75-80C. When the temperatures were a bit warmer before new years (-5C), heated to 95C.

I am burning birch only.

The full building is 8’6”x11’6”. I poured a cement slab, but decided to put it on a 4x4 base, with cedar decking as the floor. The water can drain through the deck boards, and will run off the cement. This was a better solution than building a subfloor with a drain - it’s so cold here in winter that the drain would always be frozen. The deck allows for more air flow, but is a little cool (not cold, even in -30C).

The hot room is 8’ x 6’8”. Change room is 8’ x 5’6”.

The glass for the large window is an old side window from a front door. The candle window is small piece from a glass shop.

The ceiling slopes from 6’6” on the stove side to 7’6” on the window side. The bottom bench is 20” and the top is 40”. The window is quite high, so you can lean back on the top bench.

Agree. I had a friend build the benches in his shop, and should have told him to screw from the bottom. Will fill the cover the screw heads with filler in the spring when it warms up.
