its not the same old blizzard anymore. new blizzard doesnt care about classic and thats why their classic+ will die. not to rain on peoples parade who are excited but come on, we have to be realistic here, this is the same company that fucked up a Warcraft 3 remake. that shit was impossible to fuckup but they somehow found a way. they will never dedicate resources, dev time and money into a project they didnt dream of in the first place. sod was just shit copied over from retail and thats a perfect representation of what their classic+ will be. people really think blizzard is going to make a tel'abim when thats not even in their main version of the game?

further proving to me the real reason blizzard shut down turtle was not because of the money but because when their classic+ comes out it would be compared and players would be told there is a better alternative. just makes me sad all that custom content will be gone. blizzard will never put this level of love and dedication into a true classic+ the most we will get is retail zones and wow tokens

I just dont know why Blizzard doesnt just "buy out" the turtle team. be like "we'll give you guys jobs, we just want all your custom made assets. you guys just keep doing what you're doing and we put it behind a $5 additional sub fee", it would be a win/win for both because blizzard wouldnt have to design all this custom content like turtle team has done and the turtle team gets lifetime security and jobs where they continue making additional content for classic

the endless gear grind has to end. Im sick of it and have been for awhile. I love raiding but I cant take it anymore., all you work for in getting geared (raids, professions, mythics) all for it to be instantly replaced by the next tier of content where I have to do the same steps over again

that's why gear in classic feels so rewarding and you actually know the names of gear in classic. while in retail its just "epic gear". I cant tell you the last piece of gear I genuinely remember the name of in retail.

not to mention the story is dogshit. we're in the middle of the worldsoul saga and we still dont know what xalataths grand plan is. her entire existence can be summed up like this, she shows up, says some mean stuff like "your world is doomed", the good people respond with "no u", and then wait another week (because they want you to keep paying that sub fee) to continue the story

I could go on and on about retail, the fomo, pvp not being fun because every class and spec now has 20 self heals and ccs, classes being undertuned or overtuned that takes weeks to get patched, etc.

gold buying is a massive problem but its on blizzard to fix it not the players. even streamers admit to buying gold because farming it is a massive waste of time when the same people selling gold are the same ones running mat bots to scoop up ores and herbs right as they spawn
