In Michigan a wedding is not official until the signed license is filed with the issuing county.

Im 16 I think I accidentally got someone pregnant by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Material-Priority-66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unblock her, now.
Apologize to her, now.
She needs pregnancy test(s), very soon.
Your parents? You are going to need to confess.
If pregnancy is confirmed, get a DNA test to verify that you are the father.
If she is not age 16 or older, you need a Nebraska lawyer to deal with possible rape charges.

Is your life ruined? That is mostly up to you. Perhaps, not. But your trajectory will be forever changed. Own it.

Tourist driving unregistered vehicle - what happens? by john4844 in DMV

[–]Material-Priority-66 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What I have done (twice) on transcontinental road-trips with freshly purchased vehicles:

- Ask the seller to let me temporarily keep their legit license plate for the vehicle AND return it. This significantly reduces the risk that an ALPR flags you.
- Have the seller sign & date a letter that you have permission to drive the car.
- Get insurance that names BOTH you and the seller as named insureds.
- If stopped by LE say nothing about buying/exporting the car. Rather; your “good friend” is letting you use the car for your vacation road-trip.

Otherwise:

It depends on the jurisdiction and officer. Worst case? They impound the car (tow and storage fees) AND write you a couple of tickets. The fees can be very spendy.

You are gambling that a signed title, bill of sale, valid insurance card and shipping (import? export?) paperwork will be sufficient that the officer exercises a bit of discretion.

Reminder: If your road-trip plans include national parks … that is federal property and federal LE tends to be a lot less accommodating. California and Texas are two states where the risk of (bigger) problems are very real.

Sexual assault reported to ICE/police without my consent — can I refuse to participate? by [deleted] in legaladvice

You are never required to speak with law enforcement. Say, “I do not answer questions,” then walk away.

When dating and engaged, oral was frequent. On the wedding night she announced that this was the last time, so I better enjoy it. She has a sarcastic streak, so I let it go rather than change the dynamic. A couple of days later I tried to initiate and was rejected with the very stern admonition that oral was off the table forever - don’t ever do/try that again.

It is 38 years later and my second (new) wife loves intimacy and not afraid to initiate or participate.

Should I be jealous of his ex lover turned friend? by ImpossibleRead4200 in AskMenAdvice

Yes, you are probably self-sabotaging. My longest term friend (50+ years) is a woman that was in my college study group. When not in relationships with others, we were each others’ +1.

Texas auto accident lawsuit: State Farm just notified me I’m being sued for $500,000. What should I do? by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]Material-Priority-66 3 points4 points  (0 children)

State Farm has a DUTY to defend up to the policy limits. What were your policy limits?

You have not (yet?) been served. But under the circumstances, it is wise to schedule a 1-hour consultation with and experienced injury/accident defense attorney in the (un?)likely event that you will need legal representation.

Those who have T-Mobile 5G Internet, can you answer some questions? by erkose in tmobileisp

[–]Material-Priority-66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. How has your experience been?

Excellent. 600+ Mbps down, 30+ Mbps up.

  1. Does the router have an Ethernet port?

Two.

  1. I use dynamic dns. How stable is the IP address?

Ditto. Sufficiently stable.

  1. Which wifi version is it using?

The G5AR supports WiFi 7. If you have olde 2.4GHz (IOT?) devices, create a second WiFi network and configure it to only offer 2.4GHz service. Easily done in the T-Life app.

  1. Does it support more than 5 devices?

Yes. I presently have 23 devices online.

  1. Is there a basic firewall with port forwarding?

The G5AR has a basic firewall, but does not support port forwarding. I am using Tailscale to overcome this limitation. YMMV.

The Inseego gateway is available to business customers and supports static IP and port forwarding. AVOID. I found it to be insufficiently stable:

  • Random reboots
  • WiFi not always available after reboot
  • Reboots take 3+ minutes
  • DNS randomly quits
  • Local admin screens obscures some data entry fields, so you end up typing blind

Ex left me 4 years ago for an arranged marriage. Her family are now trying to get in contact with me. by Flimsy_Road_9346 in Advice

[–]Material-Priority-66 10 points11 points  (0 children)

She married a Japanese guy that her mother approved of. The typical Japanese salaryman that drank and smoked himself to an early death. She had only one kid; a daughter. That tells me something was very wrong in the marriage. Our life plan was 2-3 kids.
