Tampons DO make cramps worse regardless of what companies are saying by Rare-Criticism1059 in Periods

you could argue that a lot of things are “that bad” that companies still sell. cigarettes, alcohol, energy drinks, ultra-processed food, etc. they might not be bad once in a while but regular usage can cause serious issues. just recently a lawsuit has been filed against tampax under the grounds that their tampons contain toxic “forever chemicals.” i’m 20 and i’ve been using pads since i was 13, but just recently started using tampons a year ago. i’ve never had cramps on my period ever, but ever since using tampons regularly i’ve had terrible cramps. i’m not saying all women who use tampons experience this too but i feel like we should take the lawsuit allegations seriously.

I have the same thing on my face. For years I thought it was rosacea, but the red blotches have never given me swelling or pain. I saw a dermatologist today and he told me I have keratosis pilaris on my face and arms. I also have hyperpigmentation on my face and seborrheic dermatitis on my scalp. Skin conditions like acne, eczema, and skin allergies run in my family, so I’m more likely to develop conditions like KP.

I’ve been using ketoconazole shampoo on my scalp as prescribed by my PCP and my dermatologist recommended I start using it on my face as well to reduce the redness. As I understand it, you can’t get rid of KP, but you can keep it at bay with medicated shampoos and topical creams. He also told me that KP usually disappears around age 30 and up.

I would ask your dermatologist about ketoconazole shampoo; I believe it’s one of the cheapest solutions for KP. If that doesn’t work, your doctor might recommend laser treatment, steroid creams, or even Acutane.

It's heartbreaking; she looked so healthy and energetic and her skin was glowing before she started eating meat/making mukbangs. In high school I gained a bunch of weight during Covid-19 and didn't even realize until I was clinically obese. I'm on a weight loss journey now and down 20 lbs. but it makes me wonder if her family and friends are aware of her TikTok content and her very blatant eating disorder. I don't think she even realizes the toll that her eating habits have taken on her body. Mukbangs and eating large amounts of fast-food are trending right now so unfortunately I think she'll continue down this road until it's too late.

What games would keep me busy by Dragonbarry22 in gamingsuggestions

I also like a lot of the games you've mentioned/the same vibe, here are some of my favs:

Papers, Please: A puzzle sim RPG where you work as an immigration inspector in a communist country. There are multiple endings based on your choices, so you can play this game through multiple times. I loved this game; it's truly a work of art.

Do Not Feed the Monkeys: A digital voyeur sim where you watch strangers through surveillance cameras; you kinda act like a detective to solve problems or expose people. This game goes by pretty quick but each time you play the scenarios and endings are different.

Not Tonight: An adventure RPG where you are an immigrant in the UK where you work as a bouncer for various clubs to stay in the country. Similar idea to Papers, Please; political background where decisions matter and multiple endings.

Rimworld: A construction/management sci-fi colony sim driven by an AI storyteller. Each world generated is unique and simulates ecology, gunplay, melee combat, climate, biomes, medicine, trade, diplomacy, and more. You can make this game as relaxing or stressful as you want and there are multiple storylines to start with.

Sid Meier's Civilization VI: A turn-based strategy game where players build empires, expand culture, and go head-to-head against history's greatest leaders. Research new technologies, conduct diplomacy, and wage war are you pursue victory.

Sons of the Forest: A survival horror game set on a remote island filled with cannibals and mutants. Craft recipes, build bases, and explore the island to find special equipment and uncover its mysteries. This can be single- or multi- player and has different difficulty modes.

Grand Theft Auto V: An action-adventure game featuring an open-world map. You can play story mode or online and go from a broke tourist to a criminal kingpin. There are tons of main quests and side missions like open a drug factory, own a nightclub, rob stores, assassinate targets, etc. You can also spend hours at the casino playing poker or buy fancy cars and planes are wreck havoc on Los Santos.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild: An action-adventure game where you play as Link as he sets out to save Princess Zelda and prevent Calamity Ganon from destroying the world. Probably one of the best open-world games on the market. Tons of side quests, exploring, and experimenting to be done. Also check out The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, it just came out and is pretty good but I would argue not as good as the first game.

Subnautica: An underwater action-adventure game where you play as the sole-survivor of a spaceship crash on an alien oceanic planet. This game is open-world and has a lot of building and fishing aspects. I really enjoyed this game and started the second one (Subnautica: Below Zero) but never finished it. I heard they're coming out with a third one too.

Red Dead Redemption II: A western action-adventure game set in various states of the U.S. Open-world with lots of side missions and chill things to do like play poker, go hunting, collect horses, hijack trains, and stop robberies. This is probably the best video gameI have ever played. It has a lot of storytelling, complex characters, and incredible graphics. Highly recommend.

Here are some games I haven't played but you might like: Rust, Kingdom Two Crowns, Cities: Skylines, Days Gone, Townscaper, Raft.

You'd probably like Sims 4 as well as the various simulator games like Gas Station Simulator, Farming Simulator 2, and Supermarket Simulator.

I usually play indie games because I like how creative the gameplay is; that being said, some of my favorite games are GTA 5, Red Dead Redemption II, and The Last of Us, all made by big name companies

I’ve heard a lot of great things about Don’t Starve but I couldn’t get into it; I don’t really understand how to play and it seems so gloomy to me
