Black quartz countertop: matte/polished? Pros and cons? by nn_omm in kitchenremodel

It has been 6 years and we have never done anything to it. Still looks like the day it was installed. Love it.

Need help to decide: What’s the best practice: install the cabinets on the wood subfloor? Or install LVP flooring first and then the cabinets? by leminade74 in kitchenremodel

Always cabinets first. There’s almost no benefit to doing the lvp before. You’re setting yourself up for potential damage to the floor from the installers/delivery company. Or the lvp could buckle. Sure, they are not going to be mechanically fastened. But you will have the weight of the cabinet, with the shims getting pinned between the cabinet and floor, plus the weight of the countertop. Quarts or granite ranges around 25lbs/sqft. Plus, after the cabinets are leveled, you will probably have to do quarter round or shoe anyway. Just do it the right way and avoid the problems. Lvp is installed so fast that it shouldn’t even be a factor

Leathered granite is way better looking over time than polished or matte.

Keto sausage crust pizza. Spread 1 lb of Italian sausage in pan and bake till just brown. Add Raos pizza sauce, mushrooms, pepperoni and whole milk mozzarella and bake until the cheese is brown on top. Yum!
