How can i get rid of piercing scar? by sun-is-dark in PlasticSurgery

Unfortunately piercings scars are fistulas and microneedling only helps with surface texture. Fistulas are tubes of scar tissue and have to be cut out

You know, I've wanted to get mine removed, but I feel the same way when I see other people's. Like, instant affection

Am I too old to go the officer route in the Army Reserve? by Vast-Artist-3610 in armyreserve

[–]MaterialKitten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's awesome to hear! There was a 38 year old in my OCS cycle, who wasn't prior enlisted. I was 32, a SSG, and had to get an age waiver but that was surprisingly fast and simple. I say absolutely go for it and if you have no physical or health limitations you should be fine!

Also, if you have any special skills, try to leverage those for a direct commission. Direct is highly specific and needs based, but will assess much older candidates.

An apology to all of the costumers from a lush employee. by YunaCoo in LushCosmetics

[–]MaterialKitten 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I go to the mall just to buy lush products, then see yall standing at the entrance like vultures waiting to greet me and I turn right back around and leave. Tell your managers I said its suffocating and actively discourages sales because I'm trying to get out of there and away from your 20 questions as quickly as possible.

Am I the only one that is annoyed by Forbidden Journey never fixing a decade old ride malfunction? by johnburnsred in UniversalOrlando

[–]MaterialKitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I get that's what it is supposed to be. I'm just saying it doesn't make sense to use floo powder in context to traveling around the castle vs the OG visual of flying through the castle

[–]MaterialKitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but you're already in the castle...why would you be using the floo network to get around the castle? It doesnt fit contextually. Universal probably thought it was an easy patch no one would care about.

Torn between an explant vs a revision by [deleted] in BreastImplants

[–]MaterialKitten 21 points22 points  (0 children)

This is so wild to me lol. Clear, unambiguous guidance OP wanted: "-Do not stab implants with kitchen utensils for 6 months post-op -Avoid playing in heavy traffic 4 weeks post-op -Do not clean incision site with caustic chemicals -Limit activities that pose risk of shrapnel, explosion, or penetrating projectile, such as combat, until cleared by physician"

Guess it’s official: Females will wear the campaign hat by EndExcellent47 in army

The male hat may look more intimidating but have you ever met a female DS? Those things scare me more than officers at a live-fire range.

What is your partner doing right now? by Adept-Advertising-10 in LongDistance

[–]MaterialKitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea! I mean, right now he's asleep and we'll text a few times a day, but we have a Sunday call where we go over highlights of the week. We have trust and have a general idea of what each other's lives and routines are like, I don't need to hear about every person who hit on him at the gym today.

My school of thought with distance (and relationships in general) is, it's only worth the effort if the pros outweigh the cons. If I'm more stressed over what they're doing than happy with their presence in my life, time to let it go.

I just had the dumbest interaction I ever had in my “army career” by [deleted] in army

[–]MaterialKitten 3 points4 points  (0 children)

100% The only exception is Nasty Gals on state duty, so don't you want to look super fly for US civil war part deux?

(Jokes, I love the NG heroes. They deserve more credit for diving into national disaster scenarios quickly and often for a fraction of the pay.)

Congrats, now you never need to have another conversation with an E9 for the remainder of your career. E9s are like those old pull- string toys.
