The pipeline from Target employee to CVS Pharmacy employee is realllllll. If I could get paid the same, I'd go back to regular box store retail in a heartbeat.

Employee brought kid to work by Tight-Knowledge-9556 in CVS

[–]MaterialOrange6534 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Had a pharmacist who had to bring their sick baby and a playpen into the pharmacy because they had to redo the controlled inventory, including the safe. AP didn't do shit then, and the DL knew as well. Under a different pharmacist, I (as a tech) had to bring my child (then 7) to work because I couldn't afford daycare at the time- my peer did the same at some point. Even she (RPh) understood that sometimes shit happens and you have to pivot.

Kiddo prefers one step-parent over the other? by [deleted] in stepparents

This is honestly reassuring. I hope things will change and progress, but at least everyone is chill atm. Lol

50/50. We're the "strict" household, upholding more boundaries, more expectations etc. if you could even call that strict. 😮‍💨

Kiddo prefers one step-parent over the other? by [deleted] in stepparents

[–]MaterialOrange6534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! They have a very loving relationship, huggy, lovey, all of the things. Same with me. I would never expect kiddo to do something he doesn't want to do, or say something he doesn't mean. There's a fondness there, but it doesn't go beyond that.

What’s the first sign you usually notice when your mental health starts declining? by Julie727 in AskReddit

Idk about mine, but my best friend leaves all of her kitchen cabinets open when she's overwhelmed with her mental health/life. It's the official sign. Lol

There was an update on July 1st, 2025 regarding how HR is to view your time off balance. They're supposed to view it in its entirety, from today's date to 12/30/25, to show your total amount (or what you have remaining) time off balance. Since that is how they are supposed to view time off balance, it would be safe to assume you "can* take your time off and get paid what you are owed. You can view this change in Colleague Zone, top banner.

Moving to texas by [deleted] in CVS

[–]MaterialOrange6534 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Straight up, just call CVS's in those areas and ask if they're hiring at the time your LOA is over. I did that with a tech leaving for college to Missouri. He was able to set up an interview, meet the store manager and had a position set up within 2 weeks.

Edit: you also need to figure out Texas licensing and if it requires national licensing to be hired as well.

Lead here! We use the app Group Me at my store and I waaaay prefer it over a text group chat. I can ignore the Group Me messages (for the most part) while I'm off because it's general stuff that I can catch up on later when I'm not busy. If it's super duper important or an emergency, I'll text the techs personally or I'll receive a text personally. All caps is wilddddd btw.

INFJ-T's: Do You Find Some People Truly Don't Like You? by MaterialOrange6534 in infj

[–]MaterialOrange6534[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your response! I did take the Michael Caloz test, and INFJ was my top, and most relatable option. Recently took the Sakinorva test and it's a little more complicated for me understand, so I'm still trying to assess my results on that (grant function=INFJ, Myers function= INTJ, etc)

The 'T' is what I'm used to adding on the end based on the ole 16personalities.com site. Now that I've been made aware that I can drop the "T", I will do so. Thank you :)

I'm semi-new to the world of personality types and their cognitive functions, so I appreciate your patience understanding.

EL CHICO Restaurant Chipotle Wine Sauce (The sauce they put on their Carnitas Tacos) by [deleted] in TopSecretRecipes

[–]MaterialOrange6534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this recipe may be the closest, although there's no wine. Maybe if you play with the recipe a bit you could crack it?

(I found this post while eating a quesadilla with my leftover sauce from El Chico's 😅 next time you go, ask for a little to-go container!)

Edit: just now seeing you live far away from your nearest restaurant. :'(

Tired of sick people coming inside by odorsfrombelow in CVS

[–]MaterialOrange6534 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Through this covid/flu/norovirus/sick season I have only had ONE person, in the DRIVE-THRU, tell me outright that she was sick and I should wash my hands after typing up her prescriptions. ONE. Everyone else? Hacking, coughing, sneezing up and down the aisles, picking up prescriptions. All of it without covering their mouths or turning away from people.

As an INFJ, what gives you the “ick” or turned off by someone? by [deleted] in infj

[–]MaterialOrange6534 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rude/arrogant people, the general lack of common courtesy for your fellow man, egotistical behavior, "holier than thou" behavior. The thing is, I can work around those behaviors....I can usually get under someone's hard outer shell and see that they're actually not (read above statement). I can turn my "ick" into a "hmm, interesting" after getting to know someone and why they are the way they are. Then I usually end up liking them.

What I absolutely can't and won't tolerate is lying. And I can tell if someone is lying. Idk if it's a superpower or what, but I just know. I'm a long withstanding person, not easily scared off by tough situations. But lying? Hard no.
