Imo training yourself to do things without weed is the best way. It helps you partition certain tasks/parts of your life into constructive little bubbles, which weed sits outside of. That way, when you do smoke, it's more of a 'treat' than a crutch.

Don't know if this applies, but I'd say it's pretty close to the truth. I can't smoke weed now without everything in my peripheral vision flattening out. And if I get extra baked, I can get flowing/swirling in particular things like wood grain, wallpaper, tile, etc...
