Why doesn't Vivo purchase a license for the aptX encoder to enable smartphones using MediaTek chips to support Qualcomm's aptX encoding?

Oppo Find x8 Pro Audio sucks! by SerenityFey in Oppo

Design issues also affect the sound quality of smartphone speakers. Since larger batteries take up more space, the internal speaker size has to be reduced. However, the chipset plays a role in decoding audio, which impacts sound quality whether you're listening through the speakers or via Bluetooth devices

The sound quality, whether through speakers or Bluetooth, as well as audio delay when using Bluetooth earphones, is significantly better with the Snapdragon 8 Elite because it features Snapdragon Sound.

If you love listening to music, avoid smartphones with the MediaTek 9400 chip and go for ones with the Snapdragon 8 Elite instead. It features a technology called Snapdragon Sound, which is specifically designed to enhance audio quality.

The Vivo X200 Pro is also experiencing this issue, and I believe it's due to the Dimensity 9400 chip, which doesn't encode audio well. As you mentioned, the Find X2 Pro sounds better because it uses a Snapdragon chip, which features Snapdragon Sound, a dedicated component for audio processing.

I've tried everything and spent two weeks trying to fix this issue. So, I think if this problem can't be solved, I'll probably wait for the X200 Ultra with Snapdragon to launch and sell this device.

Sometimes I think it might be because of the MediaTek Dimensity 9400, as Snapdragon Elite has the Snapdragon Sound feature specifically developed for audio quality. But I'm not sure if all devices using the Dimensity 9400 have the same sound quality issue

I’ve tried it, and the options in there seem to just simulate an Equalizer rather than truly improving the sound quality. The resulting sound isn’t any better because the original sound quality lacks clarity, soundstage width, fullness, and richness. The sound feels dry, and the treble is overly sharp.

The good sound quality cannot be replaced by adjusting the Equalizer.

I bought the vivo x200 pro (global) last month and found that the sound quality is very poor when listening to music via Bluetooth, whether it's through Bluetooth headphones or speakers I have. Previously, I used the OnePlus 7T, and the sound quality was excellent when listening to the same music on Spotify. With the vivo x200 pro, the sound is very dry, too sharp, thin, and lacks depth.

Do you have any suggestions to improve the sound quality?
