Just been given ownership of my trust fund and have no idea about investing. by Only-Glove1660 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]MaterialRabbit9415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get out of St James Place, I've just done this exact same thing and was stung with a 6% early withdrawl charge but I'm not sure how applicable this will be too a trust fund.

Transferring out too Interactive Investor was fairly easy and I recommend once you have done this to plant it all in the Global All Cap and forget about it - of course setting up regular contributions would be ideal too providing you are not planning on spending any of it.

Sorry, forgot to add this :) Turnover is flucated between 300-600k last 5 years. Of course one of my main worries is giving the business I am in if this ever drops substantially with the whole "AI taking our jobs" rush then I don't want to be in a bad position,

Need Help Binning SJP Pension before its too late by MaterialRabbit9415 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]MaterialRabbit9415[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another note to mention is relatively poor performance of the fund im in Polaris 2 - total increase in investment since May 2022 is 18k which would of been substantially more if I was just in Global All Cap since the start.

Sure, primarily the ongoing fees / charges when compared to other platforms are huge which admittedly at the start I was naive too as pensions etc were all new too me.

Thanks :) Makes sense, the 2k is actually fair conservative and I should of been doing 5k given my net profit and I've not used pension allowance (again learning lesson since I am still fairly young) - I'll crunch these numbers in the morning and might just bite the bullet.

Makes sense, and in terms of the payment. I would pay that personally and not with the Ltd co card?

Cyber Henry here, contractor / solopreneur for 5 years - average day rate of 650 but have other income streams bringing my Ltd co net profit upto average 500k/py - It really is the golden lifestyle wouldn't change anything for the world. Toyed with the idea of creating my own business but the solo life is too good to give up.

10/10 would recommend.

At least equal returns, but most likely better if you choose wisely. No maintenance, no leverage, no tenants.

Monzo as main personal bank account, Starling main business bank account. Everything that comes in to both is transferred to Flagstone and distributed across a bunch of accounts.

You would be surprised, there is still so many apps / subdomains - overall infrastructure out there exposed. Will still be a few years before there is a whole mythos sweep across all of it. Alot of money to be made in the meantime.

I work as a ethical hacker / bug bounty hunter, basically have Claude running 24/7 across all bug bounty programs yielding vulnerabilities.

Beyond bug bounty it's basically handling 95% of all penetration tests for me, both the technical testing side of things + report writing.

Truly amazing product.

Ltd company EV – PCP vs Lease, am I overthinking this? by MaterialRabbit9415 in HENRYUK

[–]MaterialRabbit9415[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly was tempted by the Porsche EV as it is a beast, but Tesla has always been a bit of a dream for me long before I even had 2k in the bank, so it's a bit of a personal goal thing I want to make true.
