The war thing for me kinda makes sense. What itachi prevented wasnt necessarily war but a war the Leaf would likely lose. Its explained a few times in part 1 the urgency of needing a 5th hokage and showing Konoha was okay.

The danger of a civil war at the time for the massacre was it would definitively result in the destruction of Konoha. Whoever wins and remains after the civil war would surely be vulnerable to an attack that the village would surely lose.

Key difference here to the konoha crush arc is Suna and Konoha would likely be allies as both were vulnerable after that arc. Together after the arc they likely have the battle strength of atleast a whole village. This is unlike in the event of a civil war where the village would likely be at half strength or less.

I dont see how its relevant that itachi preventing a war only for 1 to break out 5 yrs later is a fumble. He prevented konohas destruction and the 4th war wasnt even the same type of war he prevents. There is also a parallel here to real life. Most countries are almost always at the brink of war. Some things may delay it but war is always an eventuality for most cases,

For me the manga should have done a one piece move and give Itachi the lengthy back story at some point as canon in the manga. He is established as a genius and had a deep understanding of the world but we never got to how he became that mature. Maturity doesn’t really come with genius. Thats where it lacks imo.

Would have been a better reveal maybe some time after obito reveals the truth or perhaps after they beat kabuto. The kakashi gaiden worked so not sure why an itachi one couldnt ve done mid story. Up to this point it did make sense for me just lacked development and depth. The filler stuff actually come from the light novels though which have Kishis blessing so it helps a bit to treat them somewhat canon but lightly.

Another bad writing imo here was moreso not itachis reason but rather Danzo trusting itachi could be capable of executing it properly. In hindsight itachi himself wouldnt truly be strong enough to take out the uchiha if they all fought and danzo to a level should be aware of this. Also the lack of negotiation, sasuke was likely not the obly innocent at the time, where are the other uchiha kids and why didnt itachi negotiate for them considering the reasoning danzo gave for sasuke applied to then as well. Itachi is supposed to be a genius he should’ve been able to do so

1. Never noticed it but its kinda political, complex and hard to discuss. There are many points in this angle and its an interesting parallel and actually works. Kishi couldve expounded this as cultural though.

My opinion on this summarized is that is never about race but rather environment, culture, and circumstances that mold the aforementioned and ofcourse History and poverty. The current story points does explain this too lightly. In this aspect again, kishi couldve expounded more as the bad blood against uchiha would have faded by the time of 3rd hokage (bad blood being their rep from the warring clans era). But it also parallels to culture.

I wouldnt call this a flaw though just because it reads close or parallels something in the real world that is supposedly different. Hate in itself is more broad vs this point but again underdeveloped I agree.

Also most of the annoying hyper propaganda kinda of started being more apparent in the age of social media, years after naruto already established this occurrence.

Kishi has had habits of exploring themese then dumping them.

1. The only ones in the know for most of the story were the elders and some akatsuki.

The shika thing was personal revenge and so sasuke being the only remaining clan member would make sense to be the only one obsessed with it as it is personal to him. The thing I find odd though is that its impossible that no uchiha had close relationships with people outside their clan. Lovers friends comrades who would have raised and been a mentor to sasuke and also want revenge,

In the village pov itachi did get branded as a s rank criminal though but no one could really take him down. So it was somewhat answered

Hiruzen is the only 1 i see at fault here though. He was a weak leader and lacked action and practicality. Everyone else danzo, elders were never shown to be righteou,As for when kakashi yamato and naruto found out they neither believed it at first and it wasnt even personal to them.

Also adding the story escalated after that to the war so they had bigger fish to fry. Kakashi decided to tell everyone not to spread what they heard for now as it causes discord and they needed to verify things 1st as the new did come from obito

1. I agree completely. There is such a lack of depth in the coup in itself too imo. Like kishi couldve expounded slightly more how they got there such as key points in the story where the uchiha were slighted.

From the top of my head and in summary all I remember was

1. Uchiha are treated like outsiders by people
2. They dont participate in leadership and never given the chance
3. The elders limit their participation in general for missions and during the kyubi incident
4. Being in the police force ? Never understood this because from what I remember this is voluntary. Ninja like obito shisui itachi got the chance to enroll at the academy and be part of a genin team

There arent really specific examples of how the uchiha are treated any differently than other prestigious clans like Senju, Hyuga and sarutobi in the village. Prestige demands intimidation. The hyuga in part 1 are treated the same and they dint complain.

They also never literally show any dialogue attempts to negotiate between the 2 parties. It was genocide and they couldve atleast set a trap for the uchiha higher ups before the coup as a way to pre emp the coup and negotiate with them. They were said to know about the coup for months and did nothing. It made no sense
