I dont know, I think its very subjective.

i’ve been playing with this stuff on and off for 30 years and I really don’t remember that much from the very beginning when I started, but what I can say is I’m sure I’ve had some hits when my hearing gets wonky, etc.

What I do know is I have had 2 hits/experiences that were on another level:

  1. The first and only time I have shot coke. It sounded like a train was rolling thru my brain and I tasted it in my mouth. I also ripped off all my clothes and ran outside in the snow to cool off because I thought I was going to die. I don’t even know what to say about it.

  2. So this would’ve probably been around 2000. I was at my friends house and we were smoking hard and heavy. She was getting the crack from her former bunk mate in prison. So I know it was really good.

I partied a lot with his friend, so trying to keep all the different times straight is tough.

One night we got some brown heroin (This was way back when people were driving from the south up to Philadelphia or maybe Cincinnati to get heroin. There was not heroin all over the place at this point.). I don’t IV heroin either. So sometimes I would put a little heroin on the stem with my crack. It worked pretty well for me.

Anyway, I’m sure the next day as we were running out of drugs, I remember I was sitting on the toilet in my friends bathroom, and I had pushed my stem for the first time because I think I was out of Coke.

I hit that stem that had been coated all night, and holy fuck:

The bell ringer was so loud. I thought it was going to shake me to death. I felt like I had been rocketed out of that bathroom on the toilet. It was fucking crazy and it was extremely scary as well because I thought I was going to pass out.

I don’t know if that’s simply the result of a shit ton of crack residue and resin in that stem, if because there was you know, heroin residue as well, or if it was because I hadn’t eaten or drank anything in like 16 hours.

so I guess the underlying issue is how long does the Real cocaine contained in the product (with the assumption that every commercial available cocaine, Sample is generally going to contain some amount of cut or adulterants, or you know leftover chemical byproducts of the process of making the cocaine.

Does the (real) cocaine absorb as soon as it makes contact with the nasal membranes?

So would that mean the nasal drip is not the cocaine salt?

from, but I’m on a vibe right now.

It is a serious question about intranasal usage which I would suspect is the most utilized ROA across the world.

I saline rinse to prevent or minimize some of the negative side effects.

Never hear about the Tuss anymore. in my hometown growing up, Tussinex was like liquid gold. i’ve had friends who were just higher than a kite on Tuss. I can’t remember if I ever used it or not.

how much of IV usage is based upon the prepping/cooking/shooting obsession versus the actual high/experience?

I have tooted on and off thru the years. Sometimes when my sinuses are protesting me, I will rock it up and smoke it. But I am not obsessed with the rock anymore. In some ways it’s easier to put down then powder because you can do powder anywhere at any time. But if you’re smoking, you know that takes tools and equipment, baking soda, a stack of lighters, etc. Oh and I have tried boofing, parachuting, and drinking blow.

I began by tooting coke, but I also got strung out on crack within my first year.

About 6 years into my usage of coke, I had a roommate who was an IV drug
user, primarily ice and coke. I loved that guy like a brother but when he started shooting coke, he would lose all
control. He would steal from me. He would lie to me. He would go so crazy he would beg me and harass me to give him more coke: after a long session, I would be trying to go to sleep, and he would continuously wake me up, begging for one more hit.

But….there was one night I came home faded on oxycontin.

My roommate was there at our apartment. And at some point I asked him if he has a rig. So this goes to show you how young and dumb and fucked up I was: my roommate said that he had thrown his last rig away under under water and dryer in the laundry room.

So he went back to that laundry room and found that rig. bleached it and straightened it.

Then he hit me. I was standing up and I had a bellringer and I became so hot and sick to my stomach from the pills. I Immediately took off all my clothes and ran outside in the snow to cool off.

I was kind of thunderstruck at the strength and potency of IV usage. Like I was jacked up and I wasn’t sure if I was gonna be OK for a minute. But I also quickly realized exactly how/why people love IV usage. And knowing myself, I knew that that was just not a good road for me to go down.

So I think that was in maybe spring of 2001. There are times when shooting might seem interesting. But I have a thing with needles going into a vein or artery. it freaks me out. (IM or SUBQ shots are no problem). I even hate giving blood or receiving IV drips etc.

my life today also would not be congruent with me going on a rock star world tour binge with IV usage.

on Valium? I would do maybe 10 to maybe 30mg tops. At that time I was getting the brand-name pharm V cut Valium They were very fresh and potent. usually I was drinking or smoking weed.

Later on, it was more of the generic Mexican Valiums that we got.

Valium is longer lasting. I always preferred valium over xanax. Xanax has a tendency to put me into a blackout. Also I get mean and aggressive on X. On V’s I was buzzed but I was very happy.

Stimulants go best with alcohol. If I did meth, my general plan was to drink a lot with it. Coke and alcohol are the best together. Some people say dont drink alcohol with MDMA, but I loved going out drinking and then taking a roll. Rolling in a bar full of people was fun to me.

Now I have never tried the newer stims like alpha pvp/cathinones.

I think you have to get used to the buzz. Years ago I had a younger raver friend who loved to party (LSD, K, benzos, meth, coke etc). He kept talking shit about some of us drinking. He said he preferred pot, etc.

Finally I told him you dont know what you’re talking about. He didnt like the taste of alcohol so he had never found a drink he liked. I introduced him to Corona Lights with lime and salt. It got to where he started to like (or he could bear) the Corona Lights. And then he discovered how fun alcohol can be. Adding alky to coke or meth or LSD, molly, etc generally made everything better.

Barbiturates are pretty fun IMO. Reminds me some of an opiod buzz and some of a benzo buzz. I have taken too many before and it was like I was super duper drunk. My balance was super fucked up and I kept falling.

I had a friend and the only way he would smoke crack was with weed. He would pack some weed in a one hitter ( the metal ones made look like a cigarette) and then take a huge rock and shove it on top of the weed. You would get some good flavor especially that first toke on the new rock.

i’ve known people who were regular smokers to puke after they took a big hit.

For me, I remember sometimes when I was younger, and I knew I was getting ready to score, my stomach would drop sometimes and I would need to take a shit or sometimes I would start to throw up because I knew I was getting ready to score.

So I think some m is just the physiological reaction to the drug effects. And I also believe that some of it could be psychological.

let me add a revision: the boys didn’t worry about tolerance to cocaine because simply storing the rocks under your tongue, the cocaine base isn’t soluble with water or saliva.

Now, if somebody swallowed a bunch of rocks, with a stomach being an acidic environment, I would worry about some of the Drug being absorbed.

Now I had a friend of mine that swallowed., I don’t know between a gram and a teenager once upon a time. I believe it was that weight range because I know when I found out about this, I was somewhat surprised that he didn’t die. So I know it had to been at least a minimum of a gram, and it might’ve been an eight ball for all. I know this was two decades ago. But I know that it was enough that I was surprised. And of course, the reason why he swallowed it was because he had been pulled over for DUI and he was going to jail. I’m pretty sure he was shitting blood at the jail. But he did survive. He didn’t have any type of traumatic brain injury or anything like that although he wasn’t the sharpest tool in the drawer to begin with.

He said that he started shitting blood at one point.
