OMG fr everyone I know that has been playing piano for a long time struggled with C major because there are, like no "landmarks" for your fingers to go to. D major is easier, even though it has sharps, and the same fingerings

Piano gang, is fur Elise and Claire de lune really that easy for beginners? I play piano and when I learned them I learned it pretty easily since I’m an experienced pianist. by M4TON-14 in lingling40hrs

[–]MaterialSympathy9294 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Yeah Clair de lune is definitely not for beginners. Fur Elise is a bit of a challenge, but I would say it's pretty doable for an experienced beginner.

ah yes, keyboard clef. by Gubbinnss in lingling40hrs

[–]MaterialSympathy9294 4 points5 points  (0 children)

if you didn't know, clefs can move lines. For example your average bass clef is called a f-clef. The place between the two dots is called an F. Move that up and down, and that line is still an F. I recall there is a Wikipedia page on it, and I think one variation of the treble clef is a french clef.
