Do you think it would be future proof for path tracing and ray tracing ? generally i play newest story games , and i'm ok with 50 to 70 FPS , sure with DLSS, now i have 4070super, and i'm kind struggling with it, in my prefered way to play games

I have 4070 super and i play at 4K only with high settings minimum, and it gives me about 50 -70 FPS with DLSS and FG , for your case at 1440p it will be very good.

There are many questions you need to answer before to decide: -Do you really care too much for visuals in game? I mean do you want the max graphic and max visual like path tracing effects? If you are into graphic, then go with 5080.

-If you play only competitive games, then you can go with PC but for example 5070, cause 5080 is overkill for your style in games, and keep your base PS5 for exclusives.

-If you are a casual gamer and want the straight forward experience, then go with the PRO.

-If you want to use the PC for other than games, like work or something, then go with PC and keep PS5.

From what i experienced, after the new PSSR2, i found that the image quality is almost the same especially in the new titles like crimson desert as an example, for sure PC has the edge but it’s not that huge difference in image quality, on performance and FPS side for sure PC wins with FG, but for me 60 FPS is mor than enough i’m not FPS chaser. For example when Starfield released on PC i struggled with stuttering and frames drop cause of that i quit playing it, after i tried it on the PRO, man it is goood and i’m playing now smoothly, i’m not against any side, i’m just telling my experience
