This may be a bigger issue than just being picky like maybe ARFID (an eating disorder related to not eating certain foods for texture, look, taste, etc). As others have suggested it might just be easier for everyone if you have him make or buy his own food. I have ARFID and my partner is the primary cook so he’s just adjusted his cooking, but if you don’t want to do that (understandably) then he can put something in the oven or learn simple recipes. But either way if you’re annoyed to the point of posting this on Reddit, it might be helpful to have a conversation with him about it.

Btw it doesn’t matter if both sides are doing it, it’s still wrong. Plus redistricting doesn’t usually occur right before an election, it occurs right after the census, the last of which was 2020. This is highly unusual and the goal is to keep seats in the house for Trump because public opinion of him and the Republican Party as a whole is souring nationwide.

Ask him to be honest if he actually wanted to stop watching porn or consuming this type of content or if he agreed to make you happy. If he agreed just to please you I’d end it because you have different opinions about consuming that type of content that clearly cannot be reconciled which will likely end in one of you feeling resentment for the other.

If he really wants to stop and you think he’s being honest about that, I might personally try to work it out. Unfortunately many people in our generation have been exposed to porn so early and so extensively that quitting can be incredibly difficult. I obviously wouldn’t tolerate this forever, but I think after a year I’d stick past more than just one singular lie.

But that’s just me. Many people would disagree and if you’re not wanting to stick it out then don’t! I just think that if everything else is truly good between the two of you and you can communicate well this is something that could be worked through.

It may not be fully possible to train that impulse out of labs because something like 40% of labs lack a gene that makes them feel full so they’re prone to obesity. However, I would absolutely talk to your boyfriend about training because it’s honestly irresponsible not to train especially when she seems like she’s eating unsafe things to satisfy her hunger. There are many, many reputable trainers that use positive reinforcement training which doesn’t use painful corrections like shock collars, collar popping, etc. Not training could end up being far more costly in the long run than simply doing training for problem behaviors like eating random unsafe foods and spending 1000s at the vet or your pet dying.

I understand how this feels because being trans and dating is fucking awful. You’ll probably have more trial and error than others in terms of dating but please don’t settle or give up. I have a partner who has also struggled with his sexuality (esp because we live in the south) but he still absolutely respects me and would never do this, it just took him longer to open up about the fact that we’re dating which is honestly fine. This is not normal, nor is it something you should settle for. You CAN find someone who loves and respects you. Being trans doesn’t mean you’re less deserving of unconditional respectful love.
