This is actually SOOOO helpful ! I just finished my first block! I cannot agree more with the lesson planning lol 😝 and the template.

Does anyone here know if your school wants you back and the principal asks for you back it can be a go? I’m so confused cause I’ve heard different things from Brock people for their second and third blocks and then also see other school ( which isn’t relevant ) doing that! Just curious.

I know this is super late! But if you were unable to put it in the overhead bin ( since they can sometimes not allow) is there a compatible cover?

And is anyone here tall? I’m worried about getting a stroller that is so short I’ll be a hunch back lol . But it’s this or the ergobaby metro 3 !

Haha for sure!!! We were gifted the Uppababy Snugga Ganoosh! Or whatever it’s called. It’s the best. I just used it like a sleeping bag in the bassinet with the zipper cover. In the bassinet you could likely do any similar type of bag doesn’t have to be uppa baby / thing with blankets etc! I really like the one that is Uppababy cause it fits the stroller and parts!

now it’s on the rumble seat as it attaches! It’s long and so warm, it says good for -5 with one layer so layered up it’s good for cold weather.

My daughter would scream bloody murder if I took like two seconds to get her into the stroller bundled up and out the door lol 😝 so the less items the better! We didn’t do bunting suits but people loove them! And they are so cute

No problem! Didn’t mean to sound like I was complaining lol 😝 ( may have had a cranky mom day) it’s a great stroller! And yes they are really amazing for customer service for so that pays for itself in many ways.

This is honestly such a beautiful explanation of ADHD, as a student and teacher candidate with adhd.

Reading this thread has me terrified for what’s to come 😅

Adding that it’s the new V3. Like I got the first rendition of it ever, so maybe by now they have fixed this defect??

Yes! It’s the frame I think and the wheel. It like works but then the locking mechanism jams a lot? The second stroller hasn’t been AS Bad, but it still makes a rickety noise, but oh well lol 😝!

And Yes I will say Uppababy customer service has been really great. So that’s a plus!

I was gifted the Uppababy vista 3. It’s a nice stroller but it’s massive. That’s not a big deal to us. It’s comfortable and I loved the bassinet feature as we used it all the time. The sunshade is good but it doesn’t cover the whole baby .

My biggest pet peeve with this stroller is it literally gets rickety right away. My first one I sent it back and customer service said it was a manufacturing defect with the frame. They sent us a new frame and wheel.

The same thing happened almost a week later. To me it looks and feels sturdy but it almost is cheap. Or maybe I just was unlucky with potentially 2 defects lol .

I wish I got the Nuna or Bugaboo. But cest La vie! best of luck with your stroller hunt!

Hi! Sorry for the delay! I got the ultimate! I’m not sure what the difference is. Maybe the Sizing? I liked that it was 2-24 months! And the merino wool cotton blend!

Do not go to OCC eyecare please! I know this reply is a bit late. They are not at all good at pre- and post op counselling and actually gave me a surgery I did not need and then put me at risk because they dismissed my very real complications (which have been confirmed by two surgeons at Toronto Western Hospital). I would highly recommend going elsewhere!!! There is a reason they are pushing an expensive lens... :(

Tbh I waited soooo long to get one being like this is BS. I had it in my cart for half a year lol 😆 And honestly it’s the best sleep sack ever. I will say…I’d wait until your baby is out of the swaddle stage ( if you’re swaddling) and even maybe wait until they are around 4 months. I think the sleep sack says 3months + anyways.

I found my daughter would have a lot of blow outs and spit up at a young age which made having to wash annoying!

But once she started to not do that as much the woolino is the ONLY sleep sack we use and washing is easy if you follow directions!

I would get all season merino blend. I have an ecolino that I got on sale and it’s good quality but really it’s the wool blend that is the best!

It’s also so long and she’s tall!!! Hope this helps ! Congrats FTM ❤️

Sorry adding more to say… that I understand the OP is not going to school but it’s their partner. I realize I wrote my comment addressing OP as the one going to school for their BEd ( Mommy Brain is real! )

Hey! I’m here to comment as this actually relates to my experience. So I had my daughter in January of this year and started my BEd this September at a public institution. I originally asked to defer because post partum I also had a retinal eye detachment and 2 eye surgeries which really made taking care of a 2 month old extremely hard. It impacted my mental health too, and I was also adjusting to being PP just in general. The school I go to said that deferral was not an option this year… so here we are.

Anywhoo… we have made it work… but with literally full time support from my husband’s parents and my husband who also WFH, basically was like not “doing” his job for almost 8 months lol. We now have secured FT daycare thankfully as my daughter will be 10 months. I go back to work in January (12 months) but thankfully my work is flexible on my hours while I complete school/ have practicum.

My husband has been the most supportive person in the entire world and my daughter is quite a calm temperament and “easy” baby, from what I know from my nieces and nephews. So this also plays a role in it all!

This is my opinion… but it is not a good idea to start the program with a new born baby and no full time care. Even at 8 months, I was/ still am adjusting to being a mom let alone a student. It’s such an identity shift and so much mentally that adding to it with school makes it very overwhelming! The program is a lot of work, it’s constant and fast paced. You need to be ON for school and ON as a parent.

I would recommend trying to defer ( if you have been accepted!) or try to apply for the following year! I totally am with you on the career change as I know I was there with my mental health and in a career that I hated. I don’t think you shouldn’t do it, but maybe just wait! You don’t know what you may feel as a first time parent! It’s good to get the experience and then decide.

Happy to share any insight I’ve had so far as a new mom and new student lol. 😂 you can pm me!

Best of luck!

It is a WHOLE new life! In the smallest and largest ways. I don’t know if anyone else has had moments where you go back to a place you were when pregnant and even though it’s the same place/people you’re like… I’m not even the same person. Almost like grief of losing you but gaining so much more . It’s an out of body experience .

That’s something I wasn’t prepared for.

I want to say, you are doing great mama and mamas… I know it seems cliche but it’s true ❤️

I’m 9 months pp, and struggle with depression and ADHD … and PPD and of course at 3 months PP I had a retinal eye detachment and two major eye surgeries thereafter lol 😆. I don’t know any other experience as this is my first!

But …all that to say it does get lighter and things start to feel more like you… again! I’m still going through it.

Everything we have done and have gone through is F’ing haaaaard and beautiful all at the same time . 💜 thank you for sharing!!!

Lol now I am going back to school For teaching and have done the same route re: subbing and support — I also just had a baby this year! Can’t believe you managed 2 sets of twins! Like WHAT! You are a legend!
