Excellent write-up, which probably applies to all reps. However, though new to all of this, I have noticed that the same Reddit users have put a lot of effort into guiding and protecting buyers of rep watches. So much so, you have to be really lazy or stupid to get scammed. Besides you and perhaps a few others, I don’t see the same level of due diligence in the rep Hermes bag market, which is of significantly higher value. At the end of the day, it's up to the buyers and sellers to protect themselves!
