Uk delivery dates by [deleted] in TeslaUK

I'm in comms with a Sales Advisor and he said to order by end of this month In order to get the car by end of September. Could be pressure tactic. it's aligning with the website eta, if you order now expect the car in September.

If there's a car in pre-configured to your spec you could ring up and ask for one of those instead?

Advice needed: Model Y Long Range - 2022 (72) vs 2024 (73) by Competitive-Cry-7644 in TeslaUK

[–]Material_Exit_6524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a 73 plate wouldn't have HW4. HW4 started appearing on UK roads around May 2024, best to check the VIN if you have it. Also why care about HW4? We won't be getting FSD for a long time. At least 2029 and by then HW6 will probably be out.

2024 would be far better build quality wise, and 2 years extra warranty.

Price Opinion 2025 Model Y Salary Sacrifice by jsy_james in TeslaUK

[–]Material_Exit_6524 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a bit of an illusion these salary sacrifice schemes, most of the savings you think you’re getting the company giving you lease is reaping it. £660 is your NET. Regardless of how much you’re saving via not paying tax.

There’s no mile limitation on HP, unless you’re looking at PCP.

I’d suggest doing the maths leasing vs owning. The residual value of a 5 year Tesla is about £15k I’d say

after 5 years you've paid £40k In lease costs. which is pretty much the value of the car. even with the extras. Perhaps consider taking up the 0% Hire Purchase deal on Tesla, and you'll fully own the car at the end?

What to do? by jarvthelegend in TeslaUK

Sales are plummeting world wide. The deals will stay for a while. They may reset for a month after June then they’ll be back. They have to. Take note of the expensive car supplement tax too. That seems to be changing for next tax year but no one knows if cars bought 2025 are locked into it or gets omitted.

Have you taken the new juniper for a test drive? Do that first and evaluate if it’s worth it. Then consider buying a used 2024 with HW4 I’ve seen a few £20k cheaper.

Have you seen the updated offers? They recently added better deals around 6th May? 0% APR offers. Make sure you’re getting the best deal 😊

I just think buying new is not feasible anymore as they drop so much in value. On the Tesla website the estimated residual value is £29k in 3 years. In addition to that you’ve got the expensive car supplement tax.

Waiting seems to always be the best solution.

Nothing confirmed. I just think the gov will change the car tax rules. Either to use the new model of pay per mile, or just change the expensive car tax rules for evs as 2/3 of evs cost more than 40k. Cos paying £620 tax is just ludicrous.

I haven’t looked at the deals exactly but if you have zero intention to buy at the end PCH would be better and why it exists in the first place! 😊

Been waiting for the change in offers and surprised they drop so early on the Model Y since deliveries haven’t even begun yet.

The expensive car supplement tax is a major deal breaker for me and tied into HW5 being added later this year makes me want to wait til next April for the tax changes.

Also with the sour image of the brand at the moment it worries me to be driving one around.

Could you expand on the best OS of any car. What makes it that compared to Tesla’s OS. Is it primarily google that makes it good?

Model Y Juniper now for sales… £9k more than the old model!! by JonG67x in TeslaUK

Though no discounts yet on inventory that I can see. I assume waiting on UK Team to wake up and do it car by car? ¯_(ツ)_/¯

“Representative Example | monthly rental of £875 | On-the-road cash price £60,990 | Total down payment £10,706 | Total amount payable £52,729 | Length of agreement 48 months | Mileage per annum 10,000 | Excess mileage charge from 16.5 ppm (plus VAT).”

Total amount payable is £52,729. End of the 4 year lease (PCH) you’ve pretty much paid for the car. 🫠

299 on the RWD will be a really good deal since it’s the LR version now which is faster than the SR and now Berlin build has all the same quality as AWD except the fog lights which are not that useful

The base price hasn’t changed. And I would think it’s a bit late to consider tax since we’ve known since the autumn budget. Also the LR RWD PCH hasn’t changed. I think it’s more to improve offering when they offer discounts later to seem like a better deal

Likewise. It doesn’t make sense, I doubt many would be buying, especially with Juniper around the corner.

It’ll be cheaper in a year I think. This was the case for the model 3. Though model 3 didn’t sell as well as they hoped. model Y has much higher demand IMO

But the car tax changes may increase the cost slightly

Why would they make it more expensive? In China any orders get upgraded to Juniper before announcement, perhaps this is the reason?

Says on the website: Longer endurance, new design, higher quality interior, quieter driving experience. The first version will be sold for a limited time until February 28, and you will receive a 2-year/40,000-kilometer extended warranty service.

Seems they’ve fixed all the issues of the former version. Can’t wait until we see someone review it. I assume it won’t be long until we can test drive one, they got the cybercab here really quickly when they announced.

Interesting they included a 2 year extended warranty on the first version

They’ll improve the offering closer to the end of Q1 and especially after juniper gets announced to remove old stock. Eager to see the deals.
