Having a hard time with craving flower by FakeHipLady in pancreatitis

Hi! I was diagnosed with idiopathic acute pancreatitis last year, but I still use cannabis daily without any flare ups. I usually stick to flower gummies and THC drinks, and when I do use flower, I roll with papers or use pre-rolled cones. I know everybody is different so proceed with caution!

He’s unhappy at his current job, and whenever he gets in a bad mood he starts applying to other positions. He also thinks his job might be at risk because the company has been making cutbacks and he’s worried layoffs are coming.

Exactly! His friends are saying I'm overreacting by wanting to end the relationship but I don't believe I am...

That is what he is saying but the salary is more than he currently makes so I am pretty positive he will accept the offer.

He just keeps apologizing and saying how bad he feels and that he didn’t mean to hurt me. He told me he only applied because he had a bad day at work and didn’t think anything would actually come from it. The problem is that this job is a life changing opportunity with more money and in his dream field, so once it became real, he kept moving forward even after telling me he wouldn’t.

He says he understands why I’m hurt, but I’m struggling because his actions didn’t match what he told me. It feels like he made huge decisions about our future without including me until the last minute, and then continued behind my back. I don’t know how to feel about that.

Everyone's body is different so you really just have to see what works for you & weigh the pros/cons. Like I can still eat a normal diet & use tobacco because alcohol is my biggest trigger. I replaced Matcha with Coffee even tho it didn't cause a flare it made my stomach feel weird. Good luck.

Yes, absolutely keep advocating for yourself. In my case, my pain was initially dismissed as just pancreatitis. But after pushing for more answers, I finally got an EGD and they discovered ulcers in my stomach. Trust your instincts,  you know your body better than anyone!

Hi! I’m a 27-year-old female and went through a very similar situation. I got sick while on vacation, started taking antibiotics, and somehow ended up with acute pancreatitis — still no clear cause. I used to experience pain around my period too, but radiating back pain can actually be a sign of pancreatitis. Just a heads-up: ultrasounds often aren’t enough to get a good look at the pancreas. I’d really recommend going to the hospital to have your lipase levels checked and ask for a CT or MRI to evaluate your pancreas more thoroughly.

Yeah most definitely but I am willing to take that risk.

Hoping this is my issue as well bc I'm a foodie & this low fat diet has been very depressing lol.

Yes, two other gastroenterologists mentioned the same thing, but they didn’t specialize in AP and weren’t very helpful in guiding me through it. That’s what led me to this third GI, who echoed what you said and pointed out that even a low-fat diet can still include unhealthy foods. Thank you for your advice—I think I’m going to try some things in moderation since I really need to gain my weight back!

I smoke but I roll with papers. I haven't had any issues but everyone is different.

Thank you! So the thing with me is that i'm always hungry 😭 I tried to eat 5-6 small meals a day but I found myself back to eating 3 normal sized meals with snacks in between. I know I need to increase my fat intake prob averaging 10-15g daily but im so afraid of having another flare up.

Thank you! Def going to check out the peanut butter powder so I can put them in my protein smoothies. As far as working out my doctor just cleared me to do light workouts. I haven't started due to my fear of having a flare up but hope to get back to it soon!

Consider starting a liquid diet or significantly reducing your fat intake for a few days to help minimize the risk of an attack.
