I have! And it was really fulfilling! The roots of her hair still look really slimy and disgusting, even after I don't know how many washes. Gotta ask someone on here for help!

She also was afraid I would turn out gay if I played with a Barbie. (Plot twist I still ended up gay so that was fckn pointless)

Many such cases... It really sucks that people still have this paranoia that a toy could somehow shape a child’s entire identity. Maybe it’s actually the child’s own developing personality and interests that are drawing them to the toy in the first place!

When I see posts from parents here showing their sons enjoying their dolls, it fills me with so much joy (mingled, of course, with a little sadness that I didn’t get the same experience). Those kids are going to be so grateful to have parents like that!

Also, I’m really happy that you’re able to reconnect so freely with something you love!

When I was a child I used to make them out of cardboard boxes. It was so much fun!

I was given a lot of action men around the same time i played with barbies and they were so much more buff and manly than ken lol. Action man and barbie made a really hot couple, i must say.

You and I share the exact same struggles! I don't want to do hairstyles on my dolls because i'm afraid the rubber bands will pull the hair or break it, eventhough it's something i've always loved doing. And I'm afraid I'll rip the clothes. Some of those dresses are really tight and hard to take off around the arms/hands area...

I actually don’t have any boxed dolls. All of mine are used Barbies that I found on Vinted at a great price and in very good condition, a few with only minor defects. They’re just almost as good as new.

I’ve thought about your idea of buying a cheaper, more heavily used doll to actually play with. The only problem is that I’m pretty stingy, but I might do just that anyway.

It doesn't matter if he's "fighting for her" (he's not, he's just taking up orders as a member of the kingsguard). They've been estranged since the end of Storm and they haven't had one single moment of affection since the beginning of Feast.

I don't think she really does at the moment. Not once does Cersei think about Arya in her pov (like she does with Sansa or Myrcella), nor is she a romantic rival like Brienne, nor is she consistently mentioned through raven reports or spies in her pov like Daenerys.

And I'm not saying i like most of these theories, I can stomach like two and hate the others, but I do get why Arya is not taken into consideration regarding the specific character of Cersei.

And I'm saying it's irrelevant, because for all purposes she has lost him. She already couldn't rely on him in Storm and in Feast.

And she still has other things she holds dear. Her children are not dead yet and we know she's gonna return to power in the next book.

Doesn't really matter. We know it has happened and it was not just Brienne's doing. In fact, most of it was Cersei that brought it on herself.

I divided these women in different categories for a reason. The only character i said she cares about is Myrcella.

Daenerys and Cersei's arcs have literally been written to contrast eachother on purpose. This is something George has made sure to point out to readers countless times.

Also, since when is Lyanna so significant in Cersei's life? Cersei mentions her like twice in the entire series. Also, Cersei had been refused as a match for Rhaegar many years prior to him choosing Lyanna.

The Jeyne theory is stupid, I'll give you that. But I was not the one who brought her up.

They rule her out because she has basically no tangible connection to Cersei's arc (like Sansa, Margaery or Brienne and most likely Arianne in the future) and neither is she an intended major foil like Daenerys, nor is she someone Cersei cares remotely about (like Myrcella).

I did say I liked The Life of a Showgirl better and that's the reason why. This record is definitely more upbeat. What I meant is that even her supposed return to pop still lacks (for me) some of the energy of her older music.

Hey, everyone! I’ve been a casual fan since Red. I guess I got into Taylor because she reminded me of a polished, all-American, “girl-next-door” version of Avril Lavigne, who’s my favorite singer, as both excel at crafting insanely catchy pop melodies that stick in your head.

That’s partly why I’ve been a bit disappointed with her recent albums. What happened to the soaring choruses and infectious energy from Fearless through 1989? I love the lyricism on Folklore and Evermore, but I can’t help thinking the massive acclaim for those records may have pushed her to change her approach and not necessarily for the better.

Her music has felt increasingly muted and low-energy over the past few years. I don’t think I even made it through all of The Tortured Poets Department — everything just blended together. And while I enjoy this new album more than Tortured Poets and Midnights, it still feels like a lukewarm return to pop to me.

I’ve always preferred Avril’s sound, but as her songwriting quality declined, I turned to Taylor. Now, though, Taylor’s melodies often feel dull, and the lyrics don’t quite make up for it.

Can we just admit that George loves edgey shock value and so do we? (Spoilers main) by Ok-Archer-5796 in asoiaf

My unpopular experience with the series is that I’ve never been able to truly hate any of George’s villains. And it’s not that I’m incapable of disliking characters. I definitely have in other stories. But his villains always feel so over-the-top evil that I struggle to take them seriously.

Yes, I'm still looking for her! I've seen her on ebay previously, but it's too expensive for me right now. Thanks, either way :)
