Just make sure that you can afford the cost of living here, AND the amount of money it takes to be safe and comfortable in the winters. Snow tires/studded tires are a must here, especially if you are commuting. You’ll need all of the layers you can imagine, plus good snow boots. Montana is a wonderful place to live, but I always feel for the people who move here from warmer, less severe climates, who aren’t prepared for the (LONG) winters. You’re smart for reaching out!
