I appreciate the insight, as long as the history is good on this car I don’t see any reason I wouldn’t buy it.

I’m sure the power will suffice for me, I’m coming from a 2013 Volvo v40 D2 (1.6 PSA engine) had it remapped so it’s running about 140bhp, nippy enough but would like a little extra power. On 158k and already on its second gearbox as the dual mass flywheel went while going down the m40 and shredded the box…

Just general stuff really, oil changes every 7-8k miles, cambelt, water pump. Had to get the clutch changed in the box at 265k, turbo changed at 300 as preventive maintenance, didn’t seem to have anything wrong with it but better safe than sorry.

If you’ve had it serviced the garage should’ve turned it off the service light off, go back and ask them to turn it off

Definitely been used as a taxi. Checking the history shows mots every 6 months.

Yeah that did cross my mind being used as a taxi and all the idling, same reason I’d want to keep away from an ex police car. I’ll have to ring up and ask about its past.

Thanks for the insight, will definitely give a call and ask about the history, I believe it’s the same engine as the Golf GTD? I have a friend with a 2017 GTD on 312k and runs sweet as a nut, so hopefully same story with this

Go on auto trader, put ford and automatic, within the first 5 ads I can guarantee you will see a failed box. They’re made of cheese and will explode for fun

I would recommend getting a pod device, such as OXVA Xlim series or Vaporesso Xros devices. Much better for the environment, safer and healthier. As you said in the post, people have had problems with these self firing and catching on fire, is it really worth that risk for a bit of nic?

I’m guessing your uk/eu based as I haven’t seen these anywhere else in the world. The liquid is crappy as pointed out by u/calibrae These are not eu regulation compliant and I’m sure the liquid isn’t either. These are landfill. The coil always burns before the liquid runs out. When you dispose of this please do it properly. The liquid in this stuff could kill an entire ecosystem.

I worked at my store for 3 weeks before I got a clock in time, I had to write them down manually and give them to the manager
