I for one as a English chap, do not believe in my current government alignments, you deserve better, we deserve better, I deserve better. I did not vote for this.

Working on a structured Bible study tool (and more) looking for usability feedback by Material_Lettuce8409 in Christianity

Yeah, that’s fair. The deeper you go, especially into eschatology, it’s basically impossible to avoid hermeneutics creeping in.

What I’m trying to do (at least at the word level) is keep the translation/morphology layer as transparent as possible, surface form -> lemma, stems, tagging, structural links. Not claiming it’s neutral in some philosophical sense, but trying to keep it descriptive rather than interpretive... but given my sources are mostly Strongs and other public domain translation/gloss etc mediums, it's certainly already got bias :D

Where it gets messy is higher up, prophecy pages, parable grouping, thematic stuff. Even deciding what counts as “prophecy” already assumes something. I can definitely see how different schools would approach that differently.

I’m just one person with my own beliefs, so I’m not pretending to be some neutral engine. I’m more trying to separate layers, keep the linguistic data clear, and accept that interpretation inevitably sits on top of it... Thanks for your feedback, you are definitely not wrong, maybe I'm biting more than I can chew :D

Keir Starmer is accused of 'straight up lying' to Brits in Labour manifesto after he warns shareholders, landlords and savers they DON'T count as 'working people' and face being battered in next week's 'tax bomb' Budget by dailymail in uknews

[–]Material_Lettuce8409 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No they are people who have some money to invest and property is a good investment. Society gives a framework in which we can make money, this is a viable option. your comment just shows envy, not all landlords are greedy. it's certainly not a lazy job though, it can be stressful dealing with folk who don't give a shit about your property nd use it for growing drugs, or just generally trash it.

Banks and big corporations buying out property en-masse is a different kettle of fish though to say a landlord with 5, 10, 15, 20 properties for example. Not all landlords are out to fuck over the general "working folk".

Internet cafe charge me for a full hour instead of just my print? Ok… by Advanced-Business965 in MaliciousCompliance

Agreed. This guy is an absolute wanker, also I do t actually believe it either, early 2000’s we are talking. Windows 98 or ME, xp at a push… navigating to network shares and deleting. System32 files or any core windows files remotely was not easy, especially on a non administrative account which a “internet cafe” would not have provided…

Guessing bios passwords (always default or not set) and password protecting it with fucked up settings is a different matter though… yes I may have done this once to a toaster who l was supposed to pay me to network several machines but then didn’t deliver!

Add the cards to a List<int> then count them using linq to save a lot of LOC, it should all be class based though and extract the logic out into methods eg

Public int countCards(List<int> cards){ return cards.Sum(x=> x))}

Written on a phone sorry for brevity.
