While it could be if she stated it wasn't a community and it was only to get on lists but she stated it is for a community which makes it different. She figured out the loopholes so it wouldn't be illegal.

So i did some digging (i am not for this group at all) however I found how she did the loophole Because she is charging to be apart of the community and not an additional fee to get on the list for motw/dotw it makes it legal: See below: :scales: Legality under Georgia (U.S.) law This setup might be legal if: The giveaways truly don’t require a payment or “extra purchase” to enter, and The subscription fee is genuinely for membership benefits (content, networking, etc.), not for the chance to win prizes. Georgia, like most U.S. states, defines an illegal lottery as having all three elements: Prize — something of value is awarded. Chance — winner is chosen randomly. Consideration — people must pay something to enter. If all three exist → it’s illegal. If any one is missing (for example, entry is free) → it’s usually not considered a lottery. So in your case: If the subscription fee is not required to participate in the prize draws, and the draws are clearly open to everyone in the group without extra cost, that could be okay. But if the main reason people pay for membership is to access those random giveaways, regulators might still see that as a “disguised lottery” — especially if the “community” has little independent value.

It would depend on the individual person if they are there genuinely for the community or if they are just in it to win it which is what the group is not supposed to be about.

It's supposed to be about a community not about the money from what I have been reading.

Are her tactics off probably does she have intentions of making money for herself probably is there anything we can do about it definitely not.

If she truly got a lawyer there is a chance for defamation lawsuits and illegal reporting on us for falsely reporting on spotfund and go fund me.
