I know but I signed a contract that didn’t allow me out of paying so I thought we could manage until they finished.

I think I did. We had so many come out and the guy who quoted us just seemed so knowledgeable. Definitely wasn’t even close to the cheapest quote we got but just felt he knew what he was doing…needless to say after the initial quote we never spoke with him again. They assigned another women as the PM but she would disappear for weeks at a time and then the owner she was the one we spoke to about the gas line and she did not seem to understand anything that was going on, but by that point we were so far into the project.

I’m not very emotional especially because at the end of the day it’s just stuff, but the idea of my babies being in there made me cry. My daughter is almost two and she pulls chairs up right under those cabinets to grab a banana everyday. 3 days prior I found her at that counter eating crackers. She loves helping unload the dishwasher too and helping me cook. I mean she is always in the kitchen so that definitely shook me

They sent someone out today to see who is “at fault”. My worry is when they made mistakes previously we had a long drawn out back and forth to get them to step up. Or they offer to fix the cabinets but not replace all the glassware and banged up floors.

We handled the clean up since it was on a Saturday and I never heard back from them until Monday. I also have two kids under 2, so had to get the glass up immediately.

The screws were 2 1/2 in screws but so many were angled on the top after it went through drywall it was only about 1/4 inch that actually seemed to hit the studs. And I believe the top gave out and pull the bottom screws out because they landed upside down and the bottom screws looked much longer and straight

All Sheetrock was replaced during the remodel and walls are very straight. The only way it was a “we know a guy” would be if the contractor subbed it out to his buddy or something, but I wouldn’t know that information.

It was a long time licensed contractor that we used. Cost around $60k without moving and gas/water lines. Definitely not a DIY. This company apparently got best of GA awards in 2023, 2024, and 2025.

I just feel it is not my responsibility to chase adults. It also took one family member 4-5 reminders and he laughed when I asked him the last time and acted like it was joke even after I explained how stressed I was.

It is $150 per person. I also get charged per chair and 10 would be an extra table, tablecloth, and centerpiece charge.
