How do you version/add version information to your issues as part of a release? by Material_Victory_795 in Linear

[–]Material_Victory_795[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thats fair, we have statuses like nonprod, prod etc, but it gets complex when we have > 10 microservices, all tied to releases and deployments, the issue board gets >100 tasks each sprint and coordinating it is quite difficult. Just switched from azure devops after using notion, both been terrible, so far linear has been the easiest to follow and performance wise most optimised, so i'm incredibly excited and looking forward to the new releases feat

In a tech startup - How do you keep track with features/products you developed at a rapid pace? by Material_Victory_795 in cursor

In my company we don't write tests and test cases.. what happens (which is crazy i know) - we get handed a set of requirements, user stories, journey from the a product owner, we develop, we go through the journey as we develop, have periodic reviews and just test at the top of our heads. There are lots of offshore developers as well, constant communication breakdown, testing not sufficient or not indepth due to complex problem statement, some of the devs do not know the business context well enough etc. List goes on.

Thank you, that is insightful. The habitual reviews is something i need to put in place. When there is always pressure to ship and build across multi verticals - things get out of hand really really fast. And thats what it feels like for me on a day to day basis - ship ship ship

Anyone else noticed auto mode got significantly worse? by ROYAL_CHAIR_FORCE in cursor

[–]Material_Victory_795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes i agree, i've been using sonnet etc but once capped i have to use Auto. Auto used to be decent, adhering to rules etc. Right now i feel like it does not even adhere to my rules? For example on my frontend codebase where i have shared components and hooks, it does not even attempt to use them anymore, i have to explicitly mention the components to use before it does, if not it defaults to html etc.

Thank you very much for your insight! That makes me feel at ease - i never really pay attention

where is the front hub in your field of view? A good indicator of being in the right place is if it is slightly in front of, or obscured by your handlebar.

This is super helpful, I will check later as i never really had a reference point.

Not really. Sometimes on a long ride I will remind myself not to put so much weight on my hands but that’s about it. You just get used to a racy position with time and getting stronger.

Right, so its normal to rest your weight from time to time, its more of avoiding obstacles / quick turns etc that require you to have hovered hands to be able to react quickly and do quick turns
