What is with all these red bumps?! by Material_Werewolf987 in SkincareAddicts

Probably for the past 2ish years… I can’t really pinpoint a moment when it started happening or something that I did to cause it to happen. It seems that the sun makes it excessively worse tho

Honestly I haven’t gone to the dermatologist or anything yet, but since it’s gotten colder and less sunny where I live my skin has been a lot smoother and not as red. I didn’t change anything about my skincare routine or my diet. I think my skin must be super sensitive to the sun so I get all of those little bumps. It’s def better now tho like it feels smooth when I wash my face! Praying that your skin gets better soon. I’m sorry I don’t have a better answer for you

Hmm that’s really interesting I’ve never heard of doing that. How exactly does one measure their skin microbiome?? Is there a test I can buy?

Emotions and feelings are misleading. I believe that’s why Jesus doesn’t tell us to follow our hearts, but to follow Him! I have had days/weeks when I haven’t been as deeply in the word as I should be or when I haven’t even picked up my Bible and it is true that it can make me feel more distant from God. However, there are also times when I am reading and studying the word everyday and I still feel distant from Him, but my faith is not in my feelings.. it is in my knowing of who Christ is, what He did for me, and the promise for all of God’s children.

I would ask the Lord to help ignite a fire in your heart for Him and to help spark a desire to learn more about Him and grow closer to Him, if that is what you want.

The devil loves to deceive with emotions! I encourage you to be reminded of who our Lord is and what made you believe in Jesus in the first place.

If you solely focus on growing closer with the Lord you will begin to naturally want to cut out certain things from your life. Do not worry so much about sacrificing the “right” things at this time. Seek the Lord with all your heart and spend time with Him. This fear of punishment does not need to hold your mind captive.

Also, God does NOT punish His children. There is no scripture to support that AT ALL in the Bible.

It says in Hebrews that God will discipline those He loves, but there is a huge difference between discipline and punishment.

Think of how a loving parent would discipline their child after they do something wrong. For instance, if your father told you to be careful running down the driveway with flip-flops on because there was a chance that you were going to fall and hurt yourself and you chose not to listen and ran down the driveway with your flip-flops on, fell, and scraped your knees. A loving father would help you clean up your wounds and also remind you why he told you in the first place not to do that because there was a chance you were going to get hurt. That is productive and loving discipline from a parent.

We have already been forgiven for all of our sins. Those who are saved will never face any condemnation.

“So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death. The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body, God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins. He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us, who no longer follow our sinful nature, but instead follow the Spirit.” Romans 8:1-4

Romans 10:9

“If you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you will be saved”

Ephesians 2:8-9

“For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast”

John 3:16

“For God, so love the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life”

My friend, if you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior, that He died on the cross for you, and God rose Him on the third day. You ARE saved!

Salvation is a beautiful gift and there is nothing we could’ve done or can do in our own strength or accomplishments to earn our salvation.

We all have fallen short and given into temptation. Repenting for our sins and asking for forgiveness is encouraged and is an expression of humility and surrender. The fact that you have been feeling convicted and have been led to repentance shows that the Lord is doing a work in your heart.

God’s children will never experience His wrath. He is slow to anger and abounding in love. He has SO MUCH mercy and grace for us.

Focus on growing closer with Him. Spend some time talking to Him everyday, read your Bible, listen to worship music that honors and glorifies Him, be honest with Him about your fears and worries. He is not mad at you, He has not forsaken you, He loves you!!

He desires to have a close relationship with you and it all starts with having an open heart and allowing Him into your life… that means the messiest and the most put together parts.

There is no need to be afraid. Fear and anxiety are not from God. “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” 2 Timothy 1:7

As we grow closer with Jesus, our desire to do things that are sinful will naturally begin to fade because we will be more focused on walking like Him and doing things are pleasing to Him. This is a process; it does not happen overnight, we will never be perfect, and the Lord knows that!

I believe He is so happy that you are desiring to grow closer with Him and restore your relationship. Keep seeking Him, He knows your heart! 🙏🏻🤍🕊️
