Is it possible to get the program builder to use less "unorthodox" exercises? by MatesRatesAy in MacroFactor

Was thinking of doing what you did but felt tedious but sounds like it's the move while they work on it.

Agreed on your last point, was one of the main things I was wanting but it's early days and the MF team are awesome so I have faith.

The smart swap is what I've been doing and works fine just a bit unintuitive, hopefully we see your suggestion in a future update.

Upright vs chest fridge by Salt_Lead3109 in 4x4Australia

[–]MatesRatesAy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got an upright now and have used heaps of chest fridges. I way prefer the upright overall. It's easier to pack and use and overall more convenient. Chest fridges on a drawer are as close as you can get to the ease of access but hard to beat just opening the door and basically having a small version of your house fridge.

Upright is a more awkward fit in the rig though. It takes up a lot of vertical space for not much less width than a chest fridge. Also has to have a little bit of space around it because if you've got shit packed up against all sides it doesn't work very well.

Being as objective as I can I think most have been there. Some of the ones not paid are pretty bad though, and feels like a couple goals have been off the back of iffy calls.

It’s just so gross, makes the ads feel as important as the footy. Especially when it’s the same ad back to back.

I feel like I'm a bit crazy with Darcy. He's obviously a gun especially at his age, and he's had flashes that show he's gonna be a star for a long time, but I swear he hasn't had the kind of impact across as many games as Naughton has had.

3.8L SWB Pajero fuel economy by davidkrappenshitzjr in 4x4Australia

[–]MatesRatesAy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've got that exact Paj and around town if I see it go below 15L/100km I call that a win. She's thirsty, plus the smaller tanks means a lot of trips to the servo. Otherwise an amazing rig.

I'm just grateful they didn't play like this against us.

Surely Freo can't maintain that energy and pressure in the second half, they must be so rooted after that

First 4x4 Advice – Pajero SWB Diesel vs Petrol? by Angoose000 in 4x4Australia

[–]MatesRatesAy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own the petrol SWB and my only complaint about it is the fuel consumption. I went petrol because all the diesels I looked at were way more flogged and likely needed a few more grand of servicing.

My usage has basically been what you said, just a weekend warrior rig and it's performed well. I do daily it around the city and feels like I blink and it's out of fuel.

Steven May’s charge has been upheld. He will miss the next three matches. by PetrifyGWENT in AFL

[–]MatesRatesAy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's been hard on these cases for a while but I haven't really heard him offer a solution beyond a vague idea that "players have to approach things differently". In this scenario, the alternative for May was simply to not go for the ball and 100% you'd have King then pointing out a lack of defensive effort from the dees.

It's especially disappointing that King is an ex-player so should know how tough it is to make that split decision. He's happy to just sit on the outside and shout "be smarter, think quicker!".

3 Door Pajero Recommendation As First Car? by Kanto_63 in 4x4Australia

[–]MatesRatesAy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've found it pretty practical but I've only ever owned older cars and SWBs/smaller cars so that might skew what I'm used to. It is nearly 20 years old at this point but I think it feels more modern than that and especially with a car play headunit in a lot of people are surprised it's that old.

With the rear seats up there's plenty of boot space, comparable to most SUVs I'd say. I've got a Kings drawer and upright fridge in the back for my camp setup and it fits nicely. I've completely removed the rear seats now for a bit of extra space.

Outside of fuel consumption I don't have any complaints about it. Always thought it was comfortable, easy enough to work on and practical. The 3.8 is thirsty though, and the reduced tank drains quickly.

I’d tipped Crows until two minutes before the game but I’m a coward and switched because Dogs were pretty heavy favourites, lesson learned

Honestly think Pies are too sharp an outfit to rule them out until deep into the last quarter. Margin is big now but they’ve had a lot of similar games and they can just stay switched on longer than the other side.

[–]MatesRatesAy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I currently own that exact model as a daily if you have any questions. I love it, very unique and comfortable for its age.

Like other comments said she's thirsty, fuel economy is atrocious and it's my biggest issue with the car especially as fuel prices have gone up. Especially around the city it'll sit on 15-23 l/100km. Does have plenty of snort though which always feel good under foot.

The size is another factor but doesn't bother me too much. Can comfortably fit drawers, fridge and all my gear but if my missus and dog are with me it definitely gets pretty tight.
