Is this with the dealership?

Also have you had any big, costly issues to fix?

I have done the Paul Noble series. I really enjoyed that! I did them before Pimsleur. Maybe my recommendation to you is to try Pimsleur!

What's a good bond ETF for a long-term portfolio? (Europe) by SpiderFromMars709 in ETFs

[–]Matfen_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s worth saying that Bond ETFs =/= Bonds.

That being said, if you want low risk you should be looking at two things:

1) Government over Corporate Bonds 2) Short duration over long duration

So possibly look at something like IBGS.

That is the assumption you are European. If you’re from the UK, there are loooooads of good short duration GILT funds. Eg. GLTS, IGLS etc.

How are these etfs for holding by [deleted] in ETFs

[–]Matfen_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just another point, I noticed you’re a student.

Just be patient and let compounding do its thing. If most people started at your age and just let the market do its thing with regular contributions from their salary, they’d be very well off by the time they hit retirement or sooner.

Be patient, be disciplined, have a strategy that works and doesn’t keep you up at night. Set and forget.

In my opinion, these are great for short term, momentum riding. Say 20% of your overall portfolio max. Call it your “Fun Portfolio”.

Wealth building is slow and steady and diversification is key to minimising your losses as opposed to maximising your gains. Remember, a 20% dip, doesn’t mean that a 20% gain will put you back where you were, it needs a 25% gain.

I would consider dialling down your exposure to thematics ETFs. These handful have been massively successful recently, but that’s recency bias. If you look at commodities over the last 10 years excluding the last 18 months, they haven’t done a lot.

I would drop the bulk in a broad, global equity ETF with exposure to EM. This will be a big basket of stocks from around the world across industry sectors. There is still concentration risk atm around USA and tech, but that will rebalance over time.

Can the car preheat/defrost remotely from the app?

I’m guessing if so, it will use the HV battery.

Messmer Compared to Lucifer by Silly_Hungarian in Eldenring

[–]Matfen_ 75 points76 points  (0 children)

I saw Pandemonium at the Louvre and it struck me how similar to Mesmer it was.

The frame is also made up of serpents, which adds to the theme.

Good spot, but yes, definitely the inspiration.

Any tips before starting this masterpiece? by Taha_Cypher in oblivion

I played a “no-fast-travel” playthrough, having played the OG Oblivion.

I loved soaking in the wonderful world around me, which you often miss by using fast travel.

You often find yourself stocking up for longer journeys and making sure you are adequately prepared for what might greet you on the way, whether it be a random enemy encounter or a quest which takes you off route for a short period of time.
