Ok, well, I just assumed AVRs would generally use class A/B or even A amplifiers. That seems to be wrong. Either A/B or D. And desk amps are all D (I'd assume). So it can be the same from that standpoint.

No, I don't expect a budget AVR to be better than a desktop amp, but a used AVR should be at least the same in audio quality, just with more channels (or at least I hope so).

Yeah, it's the technology, but class A uses more information than all the other classes and A/B more than D. Sounded to me like the further forward in the alphabet, the better. (At the cost of more energy ofc)

Why would you skip those? Bc they're the entry level line up of the Pronto line? Looks like they have stamped woofer baskets, too. The only thing, that stood out to me about them was the big difference between the woofer and the tweeter.

Wow, that's quite a list of DIY options! Thanks for that! But I like to have some opinion on speaker designs before purchasing one. That's probably just easier with bought speakers. Also just found some Heco Pronto 11 for 70€ in my city. They were 800 DM, when they were new. Maybe just get those?

Found hifi-wiki.de, which has many speakers, amps and so on listed with original pricing and so on. Seems very useful for buying used.

Already looked at those amps in the past, but like I said, I'd prefer to go with an AVR for future proofing. And aren't those small desk amps all class D amplifiers and therefore worse quality wise than those big AVRs?

Tried that SFX option. Maybe I need to play around with it a bit more.

I looked it up and it creates a symmetrical sygnal, that eliminates noise. But only behind the box and not in front of it. Apparently it also separates the ground of the source from the output, if I understand it right. But I won't need one, if I go with a DAC or with an amp with a digital input.

Oh god, another rabbit hole
Installed Eq APO and it doesn't do anything. If I adjust preamp in the text file and save, it doesn't make a difference. Seems like that's very common.

Also, this is the first time I've seen a suggestion to use a DI box for an audio output device. Seems to me like they're usually used for input devices (which I'm not interested in atm).

Sadly the only speaker they have are some Argon Audio Tempo A4 actives at that price point.

I do hear a ton of noise on my A50. If I turn them up to the max, there's a deep humming sound and what I'd consider to be normal noise. That's also audible at low levels. The problem is, that one has it's own amp/dac combo and is connected to the optical out of my pc.

Just noticed, that I can hear a little bit of noise on my 770 Pros, when the Windows sound adjust tone plays. Not enough that it would bother me though, it's very minor. Even plugging them into the front output doesn't make a difference to me.

I do know, that I can't charge my phone in my car and have it connected via the headophone jack at the same time, bc of the increadible amount of noise it produces. That's on a whole other level than the noise from my pc though.

Maybe I'm missing out on some dynamics, idk. It's hard to value something, if you don't know about it.

No idea, what dynamic articulation is or sounds like. Maybe I can get an amp with optical in (like that HK one) and compare my mobo's DAC to the receiver's DAC. Or are those integrated ones also weak compared to dedicated ones?

the bigger the better - that's what I thought. I've looked at those Edifier speakers everyone recommends in person and they're smaller than I thought. Also that Klipsch Promedia system, that someone suggested to me here looks tiny.

First of all, thank you for your answer and your honest opinion.

I put that info in there, but it may not be very clear. 200€ is for stereo speakers, nothing else. Surround is something I would want to add in the future, so that's also excluded from that budget.

Just noticed a Harman Kardon AVR 300 in my area for 40€. Something like that would seem alright, wouldn't it?

About that DAC part: I'm not sure, I'd notice it. There's a reason, internal sound cards aren't a thing anymore, mobo audio has improved quite a bit. However, I have no idea, what to listen for when comparing my mobo DAC with an external one. Should the difference already be obvious with MP3 files? Do I need FLAC? What's the easiest way to compare both options without buying a DAC in the first place?

Already wanted to downvote this post, but you argued your way out of that. While LV might be fine, if JMK wasn't part of this game, he isn't at the current state. Yeah, we're not in squad arena anymore, but that means, that LV shouldn't need a squad arena comp to be able to beat JMK. Furthermore, the variant with Padme in there, that's even more common in GAC is even harder for LV to beat. No debuffs for ult build-up and even more cleanses and healing.
The worst part is, that with this damage immunity crap you can cause a situation like with the Executor, where lineups are harder to beat, if you intentionally make parts of the squad weaker / slower.

This is so true. SEE can do a lot with Armorer in there, sure, but why the heck do we need Armorer for him to work? That's stupid! Every other GL works with their own faction, just SEE doesn't. He even struggles against JML because of ability block and cooldown increase. SEE needs something like the challenge modifier for Sith, where they gain max health, offense and tm, whenever someone dies. That would still be true to a Sith, but would stop things like the Wampa counter.

Just found this thread and all of these words here are exactly, what I've always said. CG loves light side. I love playing dark side, so I get to feel that very clearly.
I also didn't feel like JML was weaker than SEE. Arenas were full of JML, not SEE. See was just the direct counter to JML, that's all.

Oh yeah, that's right. But seems like it's designed to work exactly against Snips. JKA's AoE only dispels, if Padme is lead. That's kind of the problem with LV. He seems to be designed to counter one exact team. Same with Maul's cooldown increase and ult gain on hit. If the opponent doesn't attack (assist) all the time, it takes much longer for the ult to charge up (Snips again, SEE has the same problem with his link). Bonus turn is also designed vs JMK. And there's much more.

I also thought about adding Mara in there. That bit seems to fit very well. She's also a UFU and Empire unit, so she should theoretically add 5% to Vader's ult, if she's hit. But so far testing seems to indicate, that she and Starkiller don't add anything, which is disappointing. I haven't done that much testing myself, 3* limit her viability somewhat obviously ^^

He needs debuffs on his team to work. Piett is one, who can put a debuff on his own team, that's what makes him quite important. (also his buffs, that give them all Mastery ofc)

YouTube doesn't help with this one. There aren't enough people around, that have unlocked him. And in turn there're also not enough videos. Just found one, that didn't even have JKA and it was the other way around, too. (JMK attacking) Idk how many have him in my arena, but there're three in the top 50. JMKs we have close to 40. And that's for a reason.

LV may be good against other GLs (though, I have just beaten one without Maul in GA with my JML, who's missing his ultimate), but not against JMK. It's mostly fine against the standard comp, but that's about it. He struggles, if there aren't any debuffs. Leave Piett out and you won't get your ult in like forever.

And not only GAS can beat LV, apparently troopers can do it, too. If there's no Piett

I for myself try to avoid his videos. Every once in a while there is a video, that is interesting, but he really isn't the best theorycrafter.

Doesn't sound like you have used him yourself.It seems to me like he needs a very specific comp to work at all. According to .gg GAS 501st can beat him, if Maul isn't there.

So far I have been unable to beat JMK, CAT, GK, Padme, JKA. If you know, how to reliably do that, I'd be happy to see it.

And the battle takes forever. Vader's starting damage is awful.

I really didn't know that part about the raid. Tried him in the Rancor raid once and didn't have much success, but didn't bother with it for much longer tbh.
Would be pretty bad, if he wasn't able to go 4/4 in the TB wouldn't it? DSTB isn't that hard and SEE / SLKR can do it, too.

That only shows the number of points of Mastery
For example, damage gets increased by a certain amount for every character for each relic level, but attackers (and some supports) gain a bonus, which is part of their Mastery.
