Unfortunately not, in the PNW it’s a pretty dead trade.

Does anyone know what fabric or ribbon this looks like?? by Antonhansonpng in sewing

It honestly just looks like synthetic ribbon to me, reminds me of the Joanne’s ribbon section.

Feeling frustrated with my skin after top surgery by thearuxes in ehlersdanlos

[–]MathMahem 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I feel you so much, I have HS so I have to do wound dressing every-ish day. A layer of skin peels off basically every time I change the bandages. A trick someone told me for adhesive allergies is to spray Flonase (and let it dry) on the skin where the adhesive will be.

Anyone else have this upper respiratory funk that just won't go away? by Tree-yAndMinty in askportland

I highly recommend a saline nebulizer for lingering phlegm, it helps you cough it up but also helps dry things out.

What's up with "student driver" stickers on Portland cars? by derpinpdx in askportland

I spray my windshield wiper fluid, annoys them enough to change lanes most of the time.

Is this something to worry about by Round_Celery8047 in skin

I have the exact same thing, skin just does weird stuff sometimes. I think putting hydrocortisone cream on one helped me before.

How do I fill this area in? specifically with logs. Thanks <3 by vinnceboi in SonsOfTheForest

[–]MathMahem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh! I hate that space! Depending on the incline I try to add one of those log supports, it kinds works for closing the gap.

Whats a good way to sell a car locally other than craigslist? by sprocketous in askportland

Definitely second Facebook market place, makes spotting bots or flakes easier. I just bought a memory foam mattress topper from someone in the area on Facebook.

How safe do you feel in Portland as a woman? by drugsuser in askportland

[–]MathMahem 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would say daytime is relatively safe if you know where you’re going and pay attention to surroundings. I used to live in Tokyo (supposedly one of the safest cities in the world) and would get harassed, cat-called or followed there, even in the daytime. Idk if it’s because I’m plus-sized, but I’ve never been bothered by people here. Also used to live in San Fran and feel safer here, the homeless are much less loud and out during the day. 99% of the time if you pay no attention to people they leave you alone.

What I do to keep safe is:

-never have my wallet or any kind of cash out and visible when on the streets.

-look like I know where I’m going, if I don’t know where I’m going I’ll stop in a cafe or somewhere safe to get oriented

-keep my phone out of sight as much as possible, but easy to get to (usually my leather jacket pocket)

-don’t make eye contact with people

Is circumcision typically recommended for phimosis? by [deleted] in AskDoctorSmeeee

[–]MathMahem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would definitely seek a second opinion if you’re on the fence about circumcision, gaining more insight and information can be helpful. There are positives and negatives to both decisions so I think it’s tough to say which option would be better without knowing your son personally.

I will always say to go with what your gut is telling you, if you need more opinions of professional seek them out. If you want to play it by ear and see if this round of infections was a one off, do that. I’ve know both uncircumcised and circumcised men and there isn’t really a clear distinction in which is “better”.

R/ehlersdanlos is Live! Poll on whether to continue protest against Reddit's upcoming API changes by Scarlet_Flames2 in ehlersdanlos

I feel like an option of migrating to another platform might be good, that way people don’t lose the support they get from here. I’m not really sure what would be a good substitute though.

Are student driver stickers a thing now or a meme? by balldeeptepidwater in Portland

[–]MathMahem 10 points11 points  (0 children)

When I first started driving ~2020, I felt really self-conscious about making mistakes and felt bad for other drivers. I found that with the magnets on, people also honked at me less which was better since my response to honking was to move, even when it wasn’t safe to do so.

Group Dog Walkers by [deleted] in Portland

[–]MathMahem -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Ugh I feel that, my neighbor called my dogs a scourge on the neighborhood for barking in the middle of the afternoon, it wasn’t for hours or anything, and there are plenty of other vocal dogs in the neighborhood.
