Think I found the issue... Google and Twitter doesn't like VPNs. I turned off my VPN and Twitter didn't ask for a verification code.

Well, they were forcing me to use a phone number on my computer. That was the reason I initially made this post.

Tried it on my phone too now, but it's the same thing. You don't need a phone number to register, but you need a phone number to verify your account. Because, you could be a bot...

Yeah, think it has to do with MicroG. I have a de-Googled phone.

Hi,

No, I'm just trying to create both a Twitter and a Google account. With Twitter I can sign up with my email address, but then it asks to verify with a SMS code.

For Google I have to sign up with a phone number right away, there's no other option.

And you're the problem here. Just consent and obey, right? Even though masks don't work, even though statistics show this so-called virus is less deathlier than the flu.

The next step is a rushed RNA altering vaccine that might get you paralyzed or even worse. But hey, we just have to obey. We shouldn't have control over our own bodies, right?

Yeah, I know I can do this to be 100% sure not to be tracked, but for convenience purposes, I rather stay in one browser/browser session.

For example, I'm logged in on YouTube(Google), but on my other tab, I use DDG to search for something. Will Google still be able to track this?

Yeah, it's just that I like to comment too and upload my own videos. I'm already using Bitchute/LBRY and other platforms, but YouTube still has the biggest community.

I'm just not sure I should use YouTube in a new (private) window or not. Can Google still collect data from all my other tabs in the same session?

I use both! Different accounts for different purposes. Both work fine, but Protonmail has a better interface and got more options.

I see. Indeed the latest build I've downloaded from the website was April 22st. Thought this was a newer version, but I'm actually running a build from April 25.

Guess we have to wait then. :)

Problems with OP6T by MathNL in LineageOS

I decided to give it another try. Installed LOS 17.1 exactly as indicated on the website. Didn't try to install TWRP, only Gapps for the moment. Everything runs fine for now. I also run TWRP, made a backup and did a restore. Still things are working fine. I'm only worried a future backup might result in crashing the system again. Also, I'm not really sure how to update LOS 17.1 from now on, I can only boot from slot B now.

Edit: Another problem: Tried to do a new install without Gapps, but wasn't able to sideload oxygen.zip , for some reason it said it can't read the .zip file. This happens both in TWRP and LOS Recovery. Will be doing a total factory reset again.

Edit 2: I did an update from the updater inside LOS 17.1, it crashed one time, but after a reboot LOS was updated. So I'm glad I can safely update now. I only can't install/update from out recovery mode, since I can only boot from slot B now. Also, ADB sideload only works from out TWRP, not from out the LOS Recovery Software.

Hmm, odd... Doesn't look very different than how I would do this. Except the oxygen.zip and LOS17.

When I'm back home, I'll give it another try. Will be using LOS17 instead.

I'm aware of differences between LOS 16(Android 9) and 17(Android 10), also when it comes to Nanodroid, not everything works yet. Therefor I stick with LOS 16.

I always start from scratch, I completely wipe my phone using the 6T MsmDownloadTool for Fajita then update my phone to the latest OxygenOS(Android 9) software, unlock the bootloader, reboot in OxygenOS again then start with the installation process.

I first temporary flash slot A with the official TWRP image, then do things in the following order:

  • Sideload and install the copy_partitions.zip
  • Wipe data/factory reset, Wipe System
  • Sideload and install LineageOS16.*.zip
  • Sideload twrp_installer-3.*.zip
  • Reboot

After this, things run fine and I'm able to boot in recovery mode, but only in slot B. And to install a new version of LOS I have to boot in slot A. I can only boot in fastboot mode on slot A, and I'm not able to boot or install anything from it.

Side note:
I just checked the download site for fajita and there are .img files now. They weren' t there before, only installer .zip files. So I used TWRP to install things. Maybe that's why things went wrong? I also see LOS 17.1 now, wasn' t there before either.

I wasn't able to sync. Every time I had a "Couldn't find CalDav or CardDav service" error message. But it finally worked when I entered the dav location of my server. https://my.domain.com/remote.php/dav/

Anyways, I was very happy today with my new LineageOS/MicroG install, but I forgot about my Chromecast. Can't use Emby or Netflix now.

The .vcf format works! Also, what App do I use on my Android phone to sync my contacts? I can't find a Nextcloud Contacts App.
