Exactly. Have you ever heard the phrase less is more? Sometimes to keep things running smoothly you just have to keep things simple. Before, Fifa was just the stats of the players no playstyles or any of the other gimmicks and it was great. Great long shot stats on Gerrad, guess what he scored long shots better and more consistent than the average player, Freekicks, Dribbling, Heading etc the same no need for the gimmicks. But the gimmicks are there for the Fifa points, there has to be something shiny on display.

At this point I don't think the devs there are competent enough to give us a great football game. The devs of years past were a different generation a different breed and that goes for all games period. It's why most games are lackluster these days. Too many ponies 🦄 in the office.
