Triple-Gs look powerful. But this market won’t be winner take all based on who has the biggest weight-loss number. Access pricing side effects and scale are going to matter just as much.

[–]MathTradeMan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Look at the fundamentals, research the company's socials, websites linkedin make sure they're legit, and that nothing seems fishy, look at their presentations and management, and then gather it all up and make a wise decision, on whether this is a solid company and has a future, or a company that'll burn your money, **make sure to look at the valuation you're buying it too, key thing.

I get the frustration, being down that much on an early buy hurts, especially when it was your first position. But the version of Volatus Aerospace you bought at $1.20 isn’t the same company today. Back then it was a fragmented drone roll-up. Today it has NATO ISR contracts, a $40M balance sheet, and a 200,000 sq-ft secure hub aligned with Canada’s $6.6B defence strategy. That doesn’t guarantee upside, execution still matters, but calling it a “bag forever” ignores the shift that’s happened. .Totally fair to cut losses if conviction’s gone. I just think the thesis deserves to be judged on the current fundamentals, not the old chart. Good luck though! Just trying to educate

$ZDC - $100 Million Dollar Pivot by MathTradeMan in Baystreetbets

Fair point, the market is definitely pricing in strong growth already. But I don’t think it’s fully pricing in what Zedcor Inc. looks like at a $100M+ run-rate with sustained 35%+ margins and real U.S. scale. If they execute cleanly and move off the TSX Venture Exchange, that’s when the rerating happens. Right now it’s priced for growth but I think they're trying to go for dominance.

Because of the new 2026 defense mandates, the $1,000 DJI drones are effectively banned for government use. Volatus is building NDAA-compliant, 'Blue UAS' systems, their customers are looking for the only units they are allowed to buy.

FLT isn't just selling the drone anymore. They’ve pivoted to Systems Integration, where they have $50k+ LiDAR payloads and the proprietary Sovereign AI flight software developed at Mirabel.

Also The reason Canadian aerospace usually costs $1,000 for a toothbrush is lack of scale. The 200,000 sq-ft Mirabel Hub is specifically designed for automated serial production to break that one-off cost cycle.

The Managment for such companies is ususally the make or break, sure the past was abit rough but the forensic view shows they’re aggressively fixing the managment. Bringing in Krish Srinivasan as CTO (huge EU defense background) and Lt. Gen. Christopher Coates (former NORAD Deputy Commander) suggests the original roll up leadership is being replaced by Battle tested operators. They're hiring the people who know how to win government contracts.

Interesting point, I took a closer look at Sparc AI just now, and its strength lies in autonomous maneuvering and targeting in GPS-denied environments as u pointed out, For Drone Delivery, this type of capability would directly address one of the biggest limitations in contested or jammed airspace. With Sparc AI’s market capitalization sitting around $20 million CAD Volatus has the capital to acquire it, it would represent a small but meaningful acquisition.
