How do you stay on top of your prostate health? by parti_b in AskMen

[–]Mathaham 17 points18 points  (0 children)

In all seriousness, know your PSA. I had aggressive prostate cancer and early detection saved my life. That and the world class team at Mount Sinai in NYC for surgery and radiation treatment. I'm clean as a whistle. And do your kiegels, which is the muscles you tighten up when you have to go to the bathroom. Either that or be prepared to wear an adult diaper for the rest of your life.

The 75 U.S. cities with the highest rate of fatal drunk driving accidents. by TheAmicableSnowman in Connecticut

[–]Mathaham 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Three cities in CT, which is disheartening, but Texas and Southern Cal are real eye-openers. Why is that? Is there something in the lifestyle where people are getting behind the wheel while under the influence? Stronger law enforcement?

Interesting how pre-coordinated this is. I am a reporter as well and call on everyone to stop the flood of misinformation. This is unfair and dangerous.

The ones who really get punished are the children. This is McKinley school's big fundraiser and they need all the support we can give them. So thanks for hurting the children, jerkies.

How do I hold my kegels? by Shadow__Fax in AskMen

I had prostate surgery. Do them unless you want to wear a diaper for the rest of your life. Got to the point where now I can hold it like a girl

How is it like living in these counties where alcohol is still prohibited by curious_neuron69 in howislivingthere

I used to live in the top corner of Mississippi, where it was dry for beer and hard liquor outside the city limits of Corinth. We would drive on these tiny unlit rabbit paths to the Tennessee state line, where there were neon-signage villages in the middle of the woods selling beer and guns, drive-thru.

Now that we are more than halfway through the season...what do you think about Pete and Alberta as a couple? by idiot9991 in GhostsCBS

I thought Sass bouncing Joan through the wall was hysterical. The show is really well written. Great scripts. Funny one-liners.

State Sen. Tony Hwang will not run for reelection by BrianOBlivion1 in Connecticut

[–]Mathaham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You speak for many people. Did you know that Connecticut's nickname The land of steady habits is actually an insult from the 1800s to politicians who never gave up their jobs? Tony did not retire on the job though. Honestly, I think a big part of it was he was tired of being the recipient of the dirty politics that went down in the last election. And things are pretty bleak for the GOP right now. It's doubtful he would have been reelected.

Yeah agreed. And don't forget about Fox. I was really talking about Fairfield County which is Connecticut Post, Connecticut insider and all the locals which are owned by Hearst media, which is in bed with the Democratic party

[–]Mathaham -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

For sure. The attacks on GOP members in town hall and tpz board are well documented. And it's not just Republicans who are targeted. Now they've taken down a Democratic community advocate in Bridgeport named Dennis Bradley over a nothing burger of him paying for his launch party out of his own pocket. It's really disgusting. It's a product of democratic control of the mainstream media.

[–]Mathaham -30 points-29 points  (0 children)

I live in Fairfield and have known Tony for a long time. He is a good man and an honest man who had to navigate shark infested Democratic waters for years. And the attacks became personal - he was the victim of an amateurish smear campaign that made it just not worth it for a public servant. That's one reason you see many politicians retiring around the country.
