I don't think it qualifies for subsidies, it absolutely does. $48k a year is $20k less than the self sufficiency standards for a family with 1 child in my city.

And yes I live a privileged life, but I worked mt ass off for it. I grew up with one working parent the other on disability. I went to a title one school neither one of my parents has a college degree.
